How far is it from Gyodae Station?

- Late hours make it a great second-round spot

What the restaurant feels like 🌿
Being a well-known spot near Gyodae Station, tables filled up quickly with office workers during dinner hour.
The tables were spaced generously, so I could eat comfortably without worrying about neighbors, and the faint smell of meat grilling over the charcoal really got my expectations up the moment I walked in.

The country-of-origin labels posted neatly on the wall also gave me the impression this was a place I could trust.

Big menu photos were displayed all over the place, so first-time visitors shouldn't have any trouble picking what to order.

Once we sat down, jjasai (pickled cabbage) and peanuts came out, and the peanuts were such a good beer snack that we finished a whole plate between us haha

You just dip the meat in the cheongyang chili sauce and the cumin (zhiran) sauce!
What we ate 🥄

The one with the red seasoning sprinkled on it is the lamb skewer, and the one on the right is the lamb loin skewer.
Lamb loin skewers
It was noticeably larger in size, so there was real satisfaction in eating it. It was on the milder side, so I kept reaching for more without any greasiness. The outside was grilled to a nice golden brown while the inside stayed juicy, which made every bite satisfying. There was almost none of that distinctive lamb smell, so I'd recommend it without hesitation even to people trying lamb for the first time.

Classic lamb skewers
It had just the right amount of fat, so the savory flavor really came through. The juices seemed to seep out more the more I chewed, which made it perfect with beer 🍺 The spice aroma wasn't overpowering either, so the typical lamb smell wasn't off-putting at all. There was a faint hint of cumin lingering, and the flavor really bloomed with every bite.

Eoxiangqie: spicy-sweet fried eggplant
I'd heard it was good and went out of my way to order it, and it exceeded expectations! It came out piping hot straight from the fryer, the portion was generous, and the sweet-spicy sauce paired so well with the eggplant that my chopsticks kept going back.
The eggplant had a thin coating so it wasn't soggy — it stayed crispy — and the sauce soaked in just enough. Highly recommend as a beer snack 👍

Fried rice to finish
It tasted plain and mild, like homemade fried rice. Rather than a bold flavor, it had a comfortable, familiar taste that kept me scooping up more. Eating it between bites of the spicy, oily lamb skewers naturally cleared the palate, making it the perfect way to finish 🍚

What to order on a first visit
Pro tip 💡 If you're not sure what to order, start with the store's recommended combo of '1 lamb skewer + 1 lamb loin skewer' or '1 lamb skewer + 1 short rib skewer' to enjoy the charm of each cut evenly!
For first-time visitors, starting with this combo and then finding your favorite cut is a good approach. We were satisfied ordering the lamb skewer, lamb loin skewer, eoxiangqie, and fried rice together.
Final verdict ⭐
If you're looking for a yangkkochi spot near Gyodae Station, I'd recommend Hanseong Yang Kkochi Gyodae Branch 2! In particular, make sure to try the eoxiangqie. The lamb skewer and lamb loin skewer each have distinctly different appeal by cut, so I'd recommend ordering a variety to share.
It's a comfortable place to eat with a beer on the side. It would work well for a work dinner or a gathering with friends, and since it's open late, it also seems like a great spot for a second round.
