This is my go-to spot for family meals out. I trust it enough to bring my husband, my in-laws, close friends, and even friends visiting from out of town — this is Gyeomson Donkatsu, my favorite pork cutlet restaurant in Geomdan.

Inside Gyeomson Donkatsu: seating, mood and baby chairs
The inside of Gyeomson Donkatsu Geomdan Branch is warm, bright, and spacious. It's comfortable with no lingering oil smell, and all the staff are friendly. Even though I visited earlier than the usual meal rush, there were already quite a few customers, and the delivery order alert kept going off.

Gyeomson Donkatsu, one of the best pork cutlet restaurants in Geomdan, fries each cutlet fresh to order, so cooking can take a while when it's busy. Since I love it and come often, I know the drill — I always try to visit a little outside the peak meal times.

The bar seats and the window-side two-tops are great for eating solo, and there are also four-person tables and sofa seating that make for a nice time out with family. There's a baby chair too — check the photo!

What we ordered at Gyeomson Donkatsu and what it cost
At Gyeomson Donkatsu, this Geomdan pork cutlet favorite, I ordered the combo pork cutlet for ₩16,500 (sirloin, tenderloin, cheese), the cheese pork cutlet for ₩15,000, and cold buckwheat noodles for ₩11,000. It all comes out piled generously on a tray — the visuals are top-notch, honestly ☆

Every pork cutlet order comes with rice, soup, curry, diced radish kimchi, pickled onions, salad, salt and wasabi, and a mustard-sesame katsu sauce. And here's the thing — rice, soup, curry, and side dishes are all refillable! Gyeomson Geomdan Branch is also running a review event right now: post a photo review and get a soda, or a video review over 5 seconds gets you 2 whole shrimp fritters!

Cheese pork cutlet, 15,000 won
The cheese pork cutlet is so good — quality meat and savory cheese all moist inside, crispy outside. My husband must really love cheese katsu because every time we visit, that's what he orders. I always get the combo since I eat less, and I end up getting a taste of his tenderloin and sirloin too... wait... maybe that was the plan all along...

Combo pork cutlet, 16,500 won: sirloin, tenderloin and cheese
The combo pork cutlet at Gyeomson Donkatsu, my favorite Geomdan pork cutlet spot, is exactly what I'd recommend if you're stuck deciding what to order. It's got a great lineup — sirloin, tenderloin, and cheese — and you'll be seriously full and satisfied after finishing it.

The tenderloin is moist and tender inside. My favorite way to eat it is squeezing on the lemon juice that comes with it and topping it with wasabi. Really delicious, and I love that it's never dry.

The sirloin has a great chew that lets you really taste the freshness of the meat — it's got some fat too, so it's got that savory richness. Fried really well so the outside is very crispy, and it goes great with both the wasabi and the sauce.

Cold buckwheat noodles, 11,000 won, paid with saved points
Gyeomson Donkatsu isn't just a Geomdan favorite for pork cutlet — the cold buckwheat noodles are the signature menu! Everyone I know who loves this place always orders the cold buckwheat noodles too. The noodles are chewy, the icy broth is refreshing, and the portion is generous.

Side note — I paid for the cold buckwheat noodles with points! I hadn't visited in about 2-3 months, so I'd lost around 8,000 points... so this visit I used up 11,000 points. I visit Gyeomson so often, and points really pile up here, which I love.

The chewy noodles and cool broth really pair perfectly with pork cutlet.

Eating the katsu with the salad and curry
The salad that comes with the meal is refreshing on the palate mid-meal, just like the cold buckwheat noodles, and it goes really well with the sirloin pork cutlet — try the salad-plus-katsu combo like I did!

The tenderloin pairs so, so well with the curry. The curry is really delicious here too, this Gyeomson Donkatsu... I ate happily and fully right to the end.
If you're wondering where to get pork cutlet in Geomdan, I recommend Gyeomson Donkatsu! It's great for family meals out, and just as good for a date with friends or a partner. Go get yourself a delicious, filling meal!
