Dongmyo Indian restaurant with parking and arch-window seats: Namaste
In short
Namaste Dongmyo Branch is an Indian and tandoori restaurant on the 2nd floor right in front of Exit 5 of Dongmyoap Station in Jongno, Seoul. After looking around Dongmyo, two of us ordered the couples set at Namaste Dongmyo Branch, which arrived as a full table of samosa, chicken tikka, shrimp chili, chicken makhani, vegetable curry, plain rice and garlic naan. If you want to try several Indian dishes in small portions without agonizing over the menu, the couples set is the best-value pick.

I went to browse the Dongmyo flea market but ended up craving something a bit different from usual, so I visited Namaste Dongmyo Branch!

It's close to Dongmyo Station so it's easy to get to, and you can enjoy curry and naan as well as a variety of tandoori dishes. In particular, they have a couples set where you can try a little of many menu items, so it was great to order without any menu anxiety when visiting as a pair 😊 If you're looking for a good curry spot near Dongmyo, this is worth a visit!

Inside the 2nd floor: arch windows and Blue Ribbon awards
Walking into Namaste Dongmyo Branch, the atmosphere is definitely different from a typical restaurant!

And there are this many Blue Ribbon awards!!! It made me look forward to how delicious it would be 🤭

There are Indian-style props and decorations scattered throughout, giving it an exotic feel like you'd briefly traveled abroad. And best of all, the seats by the arch-shaped window frames were so pretty...

The seating was more spacious than expected, so it looked great not just for couple dates but also for group gatherings. Above all, it's a perfect course for those looking for restaurants near Dongmyo Station — vintage shopping at Dongmyo followed by warm curry :)

Menu and what comes in the couples set
Looking at the menu at Namaste Dongmyo Branch, there really are so many types of curry.

With so many options — chicken, lamb, and vegetable curries, plus plain naan, butter naan, garlic naan, cheese naan, and tandoori chicken — it was hard to pick 🥲 So we went with the couples set, good for two people!
💟 The couples set apparently comes with 2 samosas + 4 chicken tikka + shrimp chili + chicken makhani + vegetable curry + plain rice + garlic naan, letting you taste several menu items at once.

How the couples set tasted, dish by dish
Once it was all laid out, the spread was much more generous than expected!

First, the samosa had a crispy outside packed full inside, which was great for lightly whetting the appetite before the curry!
The chicken tikka had a subtle hint of spice and was light, making it easy to pair with the curry.

My favorite combination when eating Indian food is definitely curry + naan 💗

The chicken makhani was soft and creamy, so it seemed like even people who find overly spiced curries difficult could enjoy it relatively comfortably ✨
Garlic naan tastes seriously amazing when you tear it while warm and dip it deep into the curry‼️

Since it wasn't just one type of curry — we also had the vegetable curry alongside — it was fun to alternate between them 💫
And with plain rice on top of that, switching from eating with naan to mixing rice into the curry gave a whole different feel! Shrimp chili came along too, so instead of just eating curry the whole time, being able to switch menu items in between was the advantage of the couples set.
If you want to try a bit of everything as a couple, the couples set is by far the better-value choice 🫶🏻💗
Is the couples set at Namaste Dongmyo worth it?
💭 Overall — if you're on a date around Dongmyo and craving something a bit different from ordinary Korean food or meat dishes, this is the place I'd recommend! You can evenly sample many kinds of Indian dishes, so if it's your first visit, starting with the couples set is a good idea. And the combination of dipping naan generously into curry never fails, of course 😋 For anyone searching for a Blue Ribbon restaurant near Dongmyo, curry near Dongmyo, or curry near Dongmyo Station, I'd recommend this Indian restaurant, Namaste Dongmyo Branch!
