Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu Naju Innovation Branch is on Ujeong-ro in Naju Innovation City, and the entrance is clean and easy to spot, so first-time visitors shouldn't have any trouble finding it! There's a big Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu sign out front that's easy to see from a distance haha.

Since I went well past lunchtime, the place was relatively quiet, which made for a relaxed meal haha! The interior is very clean overall, with quite a lot of tables, so it looks good for families or larger groups too. The tables aren't cramped together either, which made for a comfortable meal.

Self-serve wrap vegetables, kids' tableware and soup before the meal

The self-serve corner at Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu Naju Innovation Branch had fresh wrap vegetables, kimchi, and several side dishes! Eating only pork cutlet can get a bit greasy, so it was nice to have vegetables and sides to go with it. There was also kids' tableware set aside separately, which looked great for visiting with children haha.

Before the meal, you get to try this warm, savory soup! Starting with a soft, warm soup was a nice way to get the appetite going before the meal haha.

And since the portions are pretty generous, there's a self-serve packing corner set up so you can take leftovers home! It's practical for anyone who feels like finishing it all in one sitting is a bit much.

What's on the menu, and why we chose the cheese waterfall pork cutlet and cold soba

The menu at Jinsim Wang Donkkaseu Naju Innovation Branch really has it all — different kinds of pork cutlets, rice dishes, and noodle dishes! There's a good variety of cutlets as well as noodle options like cold soba, so it seemed like a good place to pick something to your taste haha. We ordered one cheese waterfall donkkaseu and one cold soba!

Cheese waterfall pork cutlet: the cheese pours the second you cut it

I love cheese, so I ordered the cheese waterfall donkkaseu without a second thought! The moment it arrived I was surprised by the size of the cutlet haha. On top of the thick, fried cutlet was a generous pile of cheese, and it looked delicious just to look at. It also came with a side salad and some peppers to add a spicy kick if you wanted it.

The second I cut into it, the cheese poured out like an actual waterfall!!!!! It really lived up to its name haha. As soon as I cut the cutlet, warm cheese came flowing out from inside, and the visuals alone were so satisfying!! There was plenty of cheese, so every bite gave me a generous mouthful of both meat and cheese.

The meat was softer than I expected — not tough at all, and the more I chewed, the more I could taste a clean, savory meat flavor! The outside was fried crispy while the meat inside stayed moist and tender, so the contrast between the crunchy coating and the soft meat really came through. Adding in the rich, savory cheese made the flavor even deeper. The salty yet mellow taste of the cheese paired really well with the cutlet, so anyone who loves cheese will especially enjoy this haha. When it started to feel a bit greasy, adding the peppers that came with it gave it a spicy kick that cleaned up the palate!

Cold soba: a bowl full enough for two

Next up is the cold soba haha. The weather's gotten hot again lately, so I was craving something cold and ordered this too! The portion was really generous as well. It came out as a full bowl, plenty for sharing along with the donkkaseu.

The noodles had a firm, chewy texture and were nice and cold, perfect for hot weather! The broth was refreshing and clean too, so taking a bite in between the donkkaseu helped cut through the greasiness. The combo of the crispy, savory cutlet and the cold, refreshing soba worked better than I expected. If you're craving something cool in summer, I'd recommend trying the cold soba alongside it too~!!!
