Seogwipo figure museum with a working lightsaber: Figure Museum Jeju

We're on a trip to Jeju with the kid. Since the weather's been so nice, we've mostly been doing outdoor things. But being outside all the time got a bit too hot, so we decided to stop by an indoor spot.

This is the <Figure Museum> I visited once before — it brings together characters from movies, comics, and games all in one place, so it's a hit with adults as well as kids! This time it felt a bit more upgraded than before haha 😆 There were all kinds of props to try on and take photos with, so it turned out to be a fun, memorable stop.

Where is Figure Museum Jeju, and what are its hours?

Figure Museum Jeju is located at 243 Hanchang-ro, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju. It's open daily from 09:30 to 18:00, with last entry at 17:30.

How much is admission? Naver booking discount prices

Adults ₩14,000 → ₩12,600, teens ₩12,000 → ₩10,800 (ages 12–17), children ₩10,000 → ₩9,000 (ages 24 months–11). These are the discounted rates through Naver.

Entrance

Once you get your ticket, you put on a wristband and you're in. The figures in the museum are look-only, no touching allowed!! haha Here we go ~

All kinds of characters catch your eye right from the entrance.

My son and his dad got excited looking around slowly. Dad seemed the most thrilled of all, honestly ㋡ 'You know this one, right?' 'That movie's so good, let's watch it together sometime~' — they went back and forth like that, taking their time with every display.

Iron Man zone: life-size suits

The corner I was happiest to see at Figure Museum Jeju was the Iron Man zone. Honestly, I don't know every character out there, but since Iron Man is such a popular one, the display was really well done haha.

My son loved seeing a character he recognized so well, and the Iron Man suits were life-size, so we couldn't just walk past — we ended up looking at them for a good while.

Trying on props: gauntlets, shields, swords, masks

There was also a corner where you could put on gauntlets, shields, swords, masks, and more to take photos — I think we spent over 30 minutes here alone lol.

I felt a bit hesitant about putting on shared props, but luckily there were disposable gloves and masks right next to them, so we made good use of those.

Maybe because we'd just enjoyed the Iron Man section so much, this area felt like a movie set haha 👍

They took photo after photo for us ~ ㋡ Normally he hates having his picture taken and it's a struggle, but that day he was actually posing and striking poses, which made it easy ㋡

Transformers photo zone and the working lightsaber

Transformers ~ props were scattered everywhere, so it was really great for photos. My son and his dad especially got a kick out of it, squealing and snapping pictures from every angle, staying for ages wherever there were props.

There was a lightsaber too — I figured something like that would probably be broken, but it worked perfectly fine!

There were photo zones scattered all over, so it was easy to browse slowly, and whenever we recognized a story, it sparked conversation between us.

Don't assume it's only for boys! There are plenty of animated characters too, so girls will find lots to look at as well ~

On the way out: gift shop and annex building

On the way out at the end, there's a gift shop. They sell the figures themselves plus other character merchandise. Fun to browse too. Once you're done touring, there's also an annex, so be sure to stop by and take a look!

Will upper-elementary and middle schoolers enjoy Figure Museum Jeju?

Museums usually feel like they're just for little kids, but I think that's what made <Figure Museum Jeju> even better — it's a place kids and adults can both enjoy. Honestly, once kids reach upper elementary, museums tend to bore them.. and they're at an awkward age for kid-oriented activity centers too haha.

But the figure museum has plenty of characters that upper-elementary and middle schoolers would like too, and even the dads' generation enjoyed it plenty. And it's not just looking at figures on display and moving on — you can take photos right next to the characters, and with all the props around, we ended up staying much longer than expected.

There really are so many different characters, so it's fun just to hunt for the ones you know, and being indoors means no weather constraints either. If you're looking for indoor things to do in Jeju around Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo, I'd recommend <Figure Museum Jeju> :)
