We ran into unexpected luck on our Jeju trip 🍀 My husband, our son and I were passing by near Jeongbang Waterfall on our Jeju trip when we happened to spot a café.

Honestly, at first we were just going to walk right past it. Our itinerary was packed and I wasn't sure we had room for one more café stop. But the moment I saw the exterior I thought, "wait, this place is different?" 😃

So we stepped into Forest Jeongbang, and looking back, it was one of the best choices we made on our whole Jeju trip. Today I'll properly write up our visit to Forest Jeongbang, which is getting word-of-mouth buzz as one of the best café spots near Jeongbang Waterfall!

Forest Jeongbang is a 1st–2nd floor café on Chilsimni-ro 214beon-gil, right near Jeongbang Waterfall in Seogwipo, Jeju. Whenever you search for Seogwipo café recommendations, ocean-view cafés come up a lot. But honestly, I had no idea a café with such a great view existed right by Jeongbang Waterfall.

The moment we opened the door, the space was way prettier than I expected. True to the name Forest, the interior has a woodsy feel with natural materials that felt connected to Jeju's own nature. It was pretty enough that our son shouted, "Mom, this is so pretty!" 😄 The view out the window is genuinely no joke. Calling it a Jeju ocean-view café isn't just marketing copy here.

When you actually look out the window on a clear day, the scenery is like a painting. The day we visited the weather was perfect, and the sky color was so pretty 💙 As some of you may know, Jeongbang Waterfall is the only waterfall in Asia that falls directly into the sea. Sitting near it, Forest Jeongbang has a truly unique location where you get both waterfall mood and ocean view at once.

How do the Americano, strawberry latte and chocolate latte taste?

This is what my husband ordered. For a Jeju café, ₩5,000 isn't a burdensome price at all.

After one sip, my husband said, "the coffee's good." He said it went down clean without being too bitter ☕

Strawberry latte

This is what I ordered! The strawberry flavor was strong and balanced really well with the milk. It wasn't too sweet, and the natural sweet-tart taste of strawberry came through, so it felt good the whole time I was drinking it 🍓

Chocolate latte

This is what our chocolate-loving son ordered. He loves chocolate milk but he's picky, he won't just drink anything 😁

But he said it was so good. The milk was nice and nutty too.

Ice cream croffle

This one's our son's 😄 The moment he saw it he said, "I want to eat that!" — kids really do have a good eye.

It's a croffle (croissant waffle) topped with ice cream, and the combo of crispy croffle and soft ice cream was genuinely delicious.

Our son said, "Mom, I'll give you one bite," and then ate the whole thing himself 🤣
