When you want to refuel with good meat while traveling in Jeju, a meal that's both good value and generous in portions really hits the spot, right? Today I'm sharing an honest review of the lunch special at Kkamang Dwaeji Jungmun Branch, a black pork restaurant in Jungmun where you can dig into 720-hour aged pork belly, spicy kimchi jjigae, and sweet-and-sour bibim guksu all in one sitting!

Where is Kkamang Dwaeji Jungmun Branch, and is there parking?
Kkamang Dwaeji Jungmun Branch sits on the first floor of Yeomiji House at 21 Saekdal-jungang-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, and it's open every day from 11:30 to 23:00 (last order 22:00). The storefront against the clear Jeju sky made quite an impression, didn't it? There's a spacious dedicated lot right in front of the building, so we could park and walk straight in without any hassle.
The big standing sign out by the road was already giving off serious specialty-restaurant energy. Knowing it's a black pork spot in Seogwipo known for its distinctive side dishes had me full of anticipation already. 😄
TV appearances and the Red Ribbon certification
Stepping inside, I noticed a plaque and posters on the wall confirming the restaurant's appearance on the show 'Saturday Is Good for Rice.' Seeing clear traces of visits from a well-known program and celebrities only raised my trust and expectations for a place with this kind of reputation as a black pork spot in Jungmun. 👍

On one wall there was a certificate for Jeju pork sales verified by the Governor of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, which gave me even more confidence. ^^ On top of that, it's a certified restaurant selected as a 2026 Red Ribbon Restaurant with Coca-Cola!!!

'Eating this pork completely cured my stomach.'
Inside the 720-hour earthenware jar aging room
While looking around the interior, one special space caught my eye — the dedicated aging room where 1st-grade black pork is aged with earthenware jars for 720 hours. It was really impressive to see with my own eyes how fresh meat goes through the process of aging into something delicious, and it gave me a lot of confidence. ^^

What's on the self-serve bar
Tucked to one side of Kkamang Dwaeji Jungmun Branch was a neatly kept, hygienically managed self-serve bar. Fresh lettuce and bracken fern, various side dishes, plus sauces and utensils were all set out tidily, so you could freely help yourself to as much as you needed.

Lunch special for two (pork belly + kimchi jjigae) and bibim guksu
We ordered the signature Kkamang Dwaeji lunch special (pork belly + kimchi jjigae) for two, along with tangy bibim guksu and a zero-sugar cola to go with it.

Doesn't just looking at the round table packed with a generous spread make your mouth water? Haha.
Looking closely at the pork belly, the bright red flesh and tight marbling looked really fresh. The moment it hit the grill, the savory aroma that spread was perfect.

As the meat turned golden on the grill, we got to enjoy it with the house sauce and Jeju bracken fern for a variety of flavors. The chewy texture and savoriness filling my mouth were just art. 👍
I dipped a well-cooked piece lightly into the house sauce and the umami exploded. The distinctive flavor mingling with the savory juices was really seductive. ^^

How was the kimchi jjigae?
What made the meat even more delicious was the kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), packed with well-fermented sour kimchi and big chunks of tofu — the deep, spicy broth simmered shallow in a yangeun pot really cut through the richness of the meat. It was a rich, delicious broth that had me polishing off a whole bowl of rice. Haha.

I tried topping nicely grilled pork belly with the tangy, well-fermented kimchi, and the deep flavor blending with the rich broth was truly outstanding.

Finishing the meal with bibim guksu
The bibim guksu, tossed red with a generous amount of house-made seasoning sauce, was also a real treat. It came topped with crunchy diced yellow danmuji (pickled radish), boiled egg, and lettuce, so along with the nutty sesame aroma, the crisp bite was genuinely fun. Picking up a big bite with chopsticks and wrapping it with the meat made for a perfect combination. 👍

There's no better dish than this for a chewy, noisy slurp to finish things off cleanly. Haha.
Final verdict on Kkamang Dwaeji Jungmun Branch
From the black pork belly, carefully aged for 720 hours for rich, abundant juices, to the spicy kimchi jjigae that cuts through the richness and the sweet-and-sour bibim guksu, this was a meal without a single weak point. Convenient parking and the trust that comes with Red Ribbon certification made it all the more satisfying. If you want to enjoy a proper black pork spread in Jungmun, Jeju, I confidently recommend Kkamang Dwaeji Jungmun Branch!
