In short

Kkamang Dwaeji Jungmun Branch is a black pork restaurant near the Jungmun Tourist Complex in Seogwipo, Jeju. I added pork neck to the 25,000 won lunch special and enjoyed staff-grilled pork with doenjang-jjigae and bibim-guksu. As soon as I ordered, the basic side dishes arrived! Seasoned bean sprouts, napa cabbage kimchi, pickled radish wraps, scallion salad, meljeot (Jeju fish sauce), and more were set out, and it was so convenient that I could freely get extra side dishes from the self-service bar~!

720-hour-aged black pork grilled by the staff

One of Kkamang Dwaeji’s best points is that the staff grill all the meat for you! They crisped up the outside to lock in the juices, then cut it into easy, bite-sized pieces, so it was effortless to eat 😋

Just look at the thickness of the 720-hour-aged black pork neck and pork belly... The marbling was beautiful, and the coarse salt and herb seasoning made it look wonderfully well-aged even before I took a bite~!

Even on its own, the meat was crisp outside and juicy inside, so you absolutely have to eat it with rice! Put a piece of black pork on top of the rice, add a little grilled kimchi, and take one huge bite... honestly, pure heaven ㅠㅠㅠ❤️

Spicy doenjang-jjigae mixed with rice

And then there was the truly incredible doenjang-jjigae. It was packed—almost overflowing—with ingredients, and the tofu was especially delicious 😋 The moment I tasted that pleasantly spicy broth, I thought, I can’t resist this, and immediately mixed in a bowl of rice and spooned it up... it warmed me right through. I highly recommend Kkamang Dwaeji’s doenjang-jjigae!

Bibim-guksu alongside black pork

The bibim-guksu (spicy mixed noodles) was ₩6,000. For ₩6,000, I honestly couldn’t believe how good it looked—it was proper, high-quality bibim-guksu! The noodles had a wonderfully springy texture, and above all, the sauce was not overly sweet, just pleasantly sweet and spicy. Wrap a golden-grilled piece of black pork neck around the noodles and eat them together: pure freshness, a perfect finish! 💛

True to its Red Ribbon certification, there wasn’t a single disappointing thing here—from the quality of the meat and service to the rice + kimchi + black pork combination, doenjang-jjigae, and bibim-guksu! If you want a black pork meal in Jeju’s Jungmun area, I recommend Kkamang Dwaeji Jungmun Branch.
