Spring dinner set for two at Jecheon Korean restaurant Deulbabae
In short
Deulbabae is a Korean restaurant inside Forest Resom in Jecheon, Chungbuk, on the 3rd floor of the Forest Club building. For dinner during a one-night stay we ordered the two-person Bomseol set at Deulbabae — stone pot rice, grilled mackerel, stir-fried pork and braised half-dried pollack — while our 15-month-old ate beside us in a high chair. With free side dish refills and a popcorn-and-coffee dessert corner, Deulbabae covers a filling meal without leaving the resort.

Hello! It's Taebaek's mom, still dreaming of becoming a parenting influencer 💕 Our family comes to Forest Resom in Jecheon almost every month. On our most recent overnight stay, we decided to have dinner inside the resort and headed to Deulbabae, the Korean restaurant on-site.
Resom Jecheon sits deep in the forest, quite a drive up from downtown, so going out to an outside restaurant always means hopping in the car — a bit of a hassle. That's why we almost always eat at the restaurants inside the resort!

Deulbabae is on the 3rd floor of the clubhouse building at Forest Resom in Jecheon — just take the elevator up from the main lobby entrance and you'll find it right away. Resom gets a lot of family visitors, and if you're bringing your parents along, this is a great pick! A full Korean spread that parents love, and since you don't need to drive out of the resort, it's an easy option for guests staying overnight.

What the dining room and seating are like
The tables at Deulbabae are spaced generously, and tall marble-tile-like partitions divide the room into zones nicely, so it's great for bringing a baby or for a big family gathering. We visited on short notice this time and couldn't get one, but the window seats looking out over the forest view looked wonderful too!

What comes with the two-person Bomseol set
Deulbabae runs on the concept of a "healthy table with nature inside," a Korean set-meal corner. There's quite a variety of tables to choose from, broadly split into single-person sets (spicy pork bulgogi set, seasoned dried yellow croaker set, soy crab set, grilled mackerel set) and two-person set menus.
We ordered the spring seolbap set from the two-person menu. It came with stir-fried pork, grilled mackerel, and a savory pancake alongside the full spread for two. The base table setting includes stone pot rice, salad, stew, and what they call "healthy side dishes" made fresh every morning — the number of side dishes was honestly surprising, and once everything was laid out, the table was completely full.

Stone pot rice and grilled mackerel
The stone pot rice was steamed just right, fluffy and light, and the grilled mackerel came out plain, no seasoning, just clean grilled flavor. I flaked the mackerel and mixed it into small bites of rice for Taebaek, and since it wasn't salty and was soft, he ate it up well.

Stir-fried pork, braised pollack and the bubbling stew
The stir-fried pork had plenty of onion and scallion mixed in, so it leaned sweet rather than spicy. The braised pollack that came as a side had a spicy sauce on top, and it was bigger than you'd expect from a side dish — more like a main course on its own. The portion was generous enough for the two of us that we ended up with leftovers.
On the portable gas burner at our table, a stew — something like soybean paste stew — kept simmering away the whole meal. It was nice that they made sure we could eat the stew piping hot, kept separate and bubbling.
Free side dish refill corner and dessert corner
There's a separate side dish refill corner on one side of the Deulbabae dining room. If you run low on a side, you just go refill it yourself.

There's a microwave placed right there too — back when Taebaek was still eating baby food, I remember being able to warm it up to just the right temperature myself, which was really convenient.
On the way out after finishing our meal, there's also a dessert corner with a popcorn machine and a coffee machine. You can pop your own popcorn and scoop it out, and the coffee is free too, so it's a nice light treat after eating. Near the entrance, they also sell puffed corn and barley twist snacks separately.
Eating with a 15-month-old in a high chair
Taebaek sat in a high chair at Deulbabae and ate with us. He's only 15 months, still not fully used to sitting still in a chair, but the high chair held him securely and he stayed seated without any trouble the whole meal.

When we poured barley tea into a cup for him, he held it himself and sipped away.
Is a Korean dinner inside Forest Resom worth it?
If you're looking for a good Korean restaurant in Jecheon, you don't even have to leave the resort — Deulbabae will fill you up just fine.

Especially with a baby along, just being inside the resort took a lot of the travel stress off, and between the high chair and the spacious window seating, we managed to finish a meal with our baby without much trouble at all.
