Gimnyeong LP café in Jeju for music and notes: Just Wonder Note
In short
Just Wonder Note is an LP café in Gimnyeong, Jeju, where visitors can enjoy music, books, and notebooks. Before an activity at Gimnyeong Port, we had Hallabong ade, iced Americano, and basil tomato ade in its softly lit, comfortable space, while our child got to experience LPs up close. Verdict: A lovely place to slow down with music on eastern Jeju.

We had an activity scheduled near Gimnyeong Port and ended up with a little more time than expected, so we happened to stop by Just Wonder Note. It was not a Gimnyeong café I had researched beforehand, but after visiting, it became one of the more memorable places from this Jeju trip.

Just Wonder Note near Gimnyeong Port
At first, we put the address into the map but took a wrong turn and wandered around a little. It turned out to be right by the roadside, though, so it was easy enough to find once we checked the location properly.

The pale orange building visible from afar also caught my eye, and the more I looked at it, the more it somehow seemed shaped like a piano. Its name is Just Wonder Note. Once inside, I thought the name suited the atmosphere of the café really well.
Wood-toned furniture and comfortable chairs inside

The moment I opened the door and stepped in, I let out an involuntary wow. It was filled with exactly the kind of style I personally love. Wood-toned furniture, sofas, tables, books, and LP records all came together naturally, and above all, it felt as though every chair and even the seating arrangement had been thoughtfully considered.

Rather than a café that only looks pretty in photos, it felt like a space decorated with the people actually spending time there in mind. There were also the comfortable, enveloping chairs I love, and I liked them the moment I sat down.

My husband looked around the café and immediately said,
This place is really nice.
The lighting was soft rather than overly bright, so it was easy on the eyes, and the whole place felt calm and perfect for taking a little break.
Time to see LPs up close and listen to music

What impressed me most at Just Wonder Note was, of course, the LPs and music. LPs were placed throughout the space, which was set up for listening to music, so it felt different from a typical atmospheric café.

The seating layout was natural too, making it the kind of place where you want to stay awhile and listen to music rather than quickly drink a coffee and leave. Our child, who rarely gets to see LPs up close, found it fascinating.

Being able to touch the LPs, look at them closely, and listen to music seemed like a new kind of experience for our child as well. So if you love music or are looking for a slightly special Jeju LP café, this is a place worth remembering.
What did the basil tomato ade taste like?

We ordered Hallabong ade, iced Americano, and basil tomato ade. The basil tomato ade was the one I was most curious about. Its name alone was unusual, so we ordered it wondering what it would taste like, and its color and presentation were pretty enough to make photographing it fun.

Our child was curious too and asked for a sip. After tasting it, they said,
It tastes like the basil and tomato topping on pasta or pizza.
Then they said it was not to their taste. :)

I like both basil and tomatoes to begin with, so I thought it was fine. Still, it felt a little different from the sweet, tangy ade people usually imagine, so I think it could be a matter of taste. It is not a menu item you see everywhere, though, so if you enjoy trying new drinks, it is fun to give it a go at least once.
A notebook where visitors' thoughts collect

In one corner, there was also a notebook where visitors could freely leave their writing. At first I thought it was simply a guestbook, but as I read through the pages, it felt a little different.

Some people had written something like poetry, some had left lines that felt like song lyrics, and others had briefly recorded how they felt that day or their thoughts after visiting.
Seeing all those different writings piling up page by page, I wondered if this notebook might be the space that best suited the name Just Wonder Note. Listening to music, drinking coffee, taking a short rest, then leaving behind a thought of your own. It felt like the element that showed the café's atmosphere most clearly.
A Gujwa café for slowing down instead of crowds

Another thing that stayed with me was the owner. They were truly kind and suited the café's calm, tasteful atmosphere so well. We had initially stopped in only to spend some spare time before our Gimnyeong Port activity, but once we sat down, I wanted to stay a little longer.

If you are traveling around Gimnyeong or Gujwa and looking for a café in eastern Jeju or a Gujwa café, a space with this kind of mood could be a good choice. It would suit people who want to listen to music and rest slowly more than those seeking a busy, oversized café.

We first stopped by Just Wonder Note, a Gimnyeong café, just to pass a little time, but I liked it far more than I expected. The LPs, books, comfortable seating, soft lighting, and notebook where people leave their writing all flowed together naturally. Our child was fascinated to see LPs firsthand, something not easily encountered in everyday life, and my husband liked it the moment he walked in, so our whole family was happy with it. As I looked around, I also thought the atmosphere would work well for a gathering or a photo shoot.

I did not confirm whether actual café rentals or space rentals are available in Jeju, so if you need one, it would be best to contact the café directly. If you are looking for somewhere to quietly rest during a Gimnyeong or Gujwa trip, or for an eastern Jeju café where you can linger with music, Just Wonder Note is well worth keeping in mind.
