This summer's been unusually dry, so the heat's felt even worse. Everyone hanging in there through the heatwave? (• ω •)
I went to Gwangalli after a while, and got caught off guard by heavy rain that weekend — here to record it 🌧️🌧️🌧️ On rainy days, eating something good indoors beats wandering around, I think. Today I'm introducing a salmon and pasta spot in Gwangalli: Salmon Brothers ☺️

Inside Salmon Brothers: the building, the room and the wait
Salmon Brothers is on the 2nd floor of the E-Mart24 building. A big green poster reading "Salmon Brothers" marks the spot, so it wasn't hard to find.

The stairs up to the 2nd floor were decorated stylishly - !! Aren't the three little bears so cute? Seems like their own mascot characters 🧸🧸🧸
Right by the entrance to the restaurant, a big menu board was set up.
Seeing it marked as a "safe restaurant" made me feel reassured that I could trust the place 😊
The interior was clean, spacious, and above all the warm lighting gave it a comforting feel — I thought this would be perfect for a date ✨
What the restrooms at Salmon Brothers stock
The restroom is one of the things I care about a lot at restaurants ~
Beyond having separate restrooms for men and women, there was a curling iron, comb, hairspray, fabric deodorizer, mouthwash — the owner's thoughtfulness really showed - ♥︎
The pre-set tableware was pretty and neat too. The round light glowing over the table made the whole atmosphere even nicer.

Salmon Brothers clearly has a huge menu, right? Beyond the food, having a wide range of pairing drinks is a big plus too 🥂 Here's what we ordered 🤤

Salmon + beef tartare — just look at this visual;;; 💗
Popping the egg yolk on top of the beef tartare and mixing it in thoroughly made everything glisten ✨ They told us to try the tartare with the special black sesame sauce, and eating it with gamtae (dried seaweed) and pear on top was genuinely bb 💖
The salmon was thick too...🧡 Halfway through the salmon I suddenly thought of sushi, so I ordered sushi rice too 😙 Anyone who orders salmon without ordering sushi rice is a fool. Everyone should definitely order it and make salmon sushi - !
Eating it in so many different combinations, it disappeared before I knew it 🥹
Aglio e olio, 15,000 won
A pasta restaurant can't skip pasta >_<🧡 Look at the plump shrimp on top of the aglio e olio.. 🥹
Thanks to the oil, it stayed moist all the way through and was delicious ‼️ Since aglio e olio isn't heavily seasoned, it paired perfectly with the salmon + beef tartare combo.
Two Jaheobeul highballs, 16,000 won
Ta-da, the Zzahyul highball ✨ The bear-shaped ice was so cute...🤎 The highball wasn't strongly alcoholic, and the Zzahyul's signature sweetness went really well with the food.
Do you need a reservation at Salmon Brothers?
After we finished eating and looked around, the place had filled up with people. We'd made a reservation ahead of time so we got seated without any wait. You can reserve easily through Naver, so I'd recommend booking ahead 😉 And there are various coupons on Naver, so it's worth checking if any apply to you ❣️
