These days when I'm figuring out what to have for lunch, I always end up circling back to poke.
I want to eat rice-roll-heavy stuff but don't want anything too heavy, and if I just eat salad I get hungry in the afternoon ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

Can you eat alone at Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch near Gyodae Station?
This time I went to Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch near Seocho Gyodae. The first thing I noticed walking in was how clean it was, seriously.
The whole interior was really tidy and well kept, which made it a pleasant place to eat.

You could really tell they take hygiene seriously — everything felt well managed overall!

And personally, what I loved was that it's perfect for eating alone!! I'd recommend it as a solo-dining salad spot near Gyodae Station.

Also, the food comes out faster than expected once you order. During lunch hour, waiting forever after ordering just to grab one meal makes you anxious, but here it comes out quick, so it's great for eating fast and heading back to work!
Chicken breast poke on a buckwheat noodle base with sriracha

What I had was the chicken breast poke! Someone who comes to eat poke and picks chicken breast... yes, that's me.

A classic pick for someone who's dieting with salads but still won't give up on taste lol.
Fresh vegetables and chicken breast were piled on top of the buckwheat noodles, so it was great as a one-bowl meal. You can choose between multigrain rice and buckwheat noodles as the base, and I'm always going buckwheat, no question.

And for the sauce, I picked sriracha. The owner recommended it as a good match, so it was a trust-the-expert kind of pick.

Eating the chicken breast together with the poke made it way tastier than just eating plain chicken breast on its own. Scooping up the veggies, base, and chicken together gave a nice variety of textures, so I kept going back for more.

And it comes plated so nicely that it just makes you happy lol. Eating something healthy while still enjoying the taste makes me feel like a proper adult who's really taking care of herself >< Of course, the reality is I just keep scooping it up because it's delicious hahaha.
Is the avocado poke at Olla Poke Seocho vegan?

And for dinner I had the avocado poke! This one can be eaten vegan, so it'd be a solid option for anyone looking for a plant-based meal!!!

If you love avocado, this one will win you over instantly. That soft, nutty flavor avocado has really pairs well with poke ><

Scooping up a spoonful of buckwheat noodles, veggies, and avocado together really brought out a smooth, soft texture — a different kind of appeal from the chicken breast poke.

For this one too, there was a sauce recommended to me, but I've completely forgotten the exact name...

While eating I was definitely thinking wow, this sauce is good, but now that I want to write about it, that magical disappearing sauce name trick has struck ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I only remember that the sauce was another owner's pick... ㅠ Anyway, the avocado poke works better with something that lets the avocado and vegetable flavors shine rather than a heavy or spicy sauce — perfect when you want something clean and soft.

Avocado itself is already so nutty and soft, and with the variety of veggies and noodles it all comes together harmoniously and fills you up nicely!@
Who should eat at Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch
- Anyone looking for a clean restaurant near Seocho Gyodae
- Anyone who hates waiting too long during lunch hour
- Anyone who wants a meal that's filling but relatively light
- Anyone who finds just salad too underwhelming and wants something more filling
- Especially anyone working near Gyodae looking for poke for lunch — this is it!!
There are so many poke places these days, but the ones you keep coming back to are the clean ones, the ones where food comes out fast, and the ones with a solid range of menu choices. And Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch is exactly that kind of place ><Next time I go, I want to try a different combination of toppings and sauce!!
