Are you all good at eating alone? I'm not, haha. I had errands near Jamsil and it was already 1pm... I'd turned into a hungry lion, and figured a sandwich shop would be an easy place to eat solo, so I visited Town Sandwich, a Jamsil sandwich spot everyone talks about. Here's my review!

I found out about Town Sandwich through Instagram — someone raved about how good it was, so I got curious haha. It's a baguette sandwich specialist and apparently already well known as a top Jamsil sandwich spot.
They have a wide variety of sandwiches and set menus too. There are kiosks both outside and inside.
How many solo seats does Town Sandwich Jamsil have?
Inside Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch there are maybe about 6 seats along the wall good for eating solo, plus 2 center tables and 2 window tables. It was pretty crowded, which surprised me a bit haha.

I really agonized over what to order. If you order a set menu you get a discounted price. There were so many sandwich options I wanted to try several.
Drinks range from coffee to non-coffee options, teas, and ades — lots of variety.
There are desserts and soups too!

Knowing I always order way too much and regret it, I went with the Town Sandwich since it looked like the original, simplest option haha.
On one side of the store there's tissue, wet wipes, and sauces if you need any.

Sunday 1pm: a 33-minute wait for the sandwich
Town Sandwich, my go-to Jamsil sandwich spot, makes everything to order! I visited around 1pm on a Sunday and was told orders were backed up, so I'd need to wait 20-30 minutes.
That many orders piled up...! I guess it's because it's so good. I said I'd wait, hahaha. My next plan wasn't until 4pm, so I had plenty of time to spare~~~~
I really did wait over 30 minutes to get it..🤤🤤 I had some things to do so the wait wasn't boring haha. I got my food at exactly 33 minutes after ordering... 🍚 Since it's the all-in-one set with a drink and soup included, the portion was huge haha. And the sandwich visuals... don't they look so, so fresh~~~!!!!
Cream soup with baguette croutons
I went with the cream soup. It comes with baguette croutons on the side!
Out of the 6 baguette croutons, I dropped in 3 and took a spoonful of soup haha. It's cream soup but had that rich, thick vibe haha.
It's hot enough to send up steam, so be careful eating it haha.
The sweet cream soup and the baguette croutons went so well together that they disappeared in no time — like, seriously gone???...... where did my baguette go...?... hahaha
So I dropped in the remaining 3 pieces right away as a refill~ The crunchy baguette and sweet cream soup were such a great match. They had two soup options, pumpkin and cream — next time I'll have to try the pumpkin one haha.

The main event!!!! The sandwich!!!🥪 A baguette sandwich with fully crisp, fresh lettuce, plus ham, tomato, cheese, and sauce!
I'm not usually a fan of baguette bread, but here they toast the baguette, so it was super crispy outside and soft inside haha. Not at all chewy or hard — just so you know!!🤍🤍 Turns out it's a baguette they developed in-house at their own bakery! That must be why it's so tender and chewy haha.
Town Sandwich felt like the fundamentals of what a sandwich should be! I was completely satisfied haha. Such a delicious meal at Town Sandwich, my favorite Jamsil sandwich spot~~ The long wait was worth it haha.
Since I'm trying to cut back on coffee these days... I ordered chamomile tea~ Light and easy to drink haha.
There's also a no-lose prize draw. I skipped it since I was already too full to eat anything extra, but if you visit, give it a try~~!
