Is this a good place for a rice bowl at Ewha on a rainy day?
After getting our hair done, my niece and I went to Sunhui Dining (순희다이닝), near the main gate of Ewha Womans University. The wide-open window view let us eat while looking out at the rainy scenery, and the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere.
How was the spicy butadon?
The spicy butadon (spicy pork rice bowl) we ordered on the tablet came with pork, onion, and wasabi over rice. Rather than mixing everything together, I took it one spoonful at a time, and the sweet-and-spicy seasoning tasted clean.
Breaking the egg yolk and eating it with the meat made it rich and nutty. The crisp sliced onion, chives, and shishito peppers went well with it too. The pork was tender with no unpleasant smell, and it paired nicely with the jangguk (clear soup).
How filling was the meal?
We had salad, jangguk, and baek kimchi (white kimchi) alongside it. The crisp salad with sesame dressing suited the rice bowl well, and being able to get more rice, salad, and baek kimchi made the meal filling.
The portion of rice did not feel especially large, but I liked that we could get more. My niece also quickly finished her bowl, and it was a decent place for a simple rice bowl while taking in the rainy Ewha scenery.
