Seochon daytime wine bar with spicy ramen: Wine Stein
In short
Wine Stein Seochon is a café by day and wine bar by night in Jongno, Seoul. I paired an acidic white wine with spicy hangover ramen and olives in its sunlit, photo-friendly space. Verdict: a lovely choice for a relaxed daytime glass of wine.

Enjoying daytime wine in Seochon at Wine Stein
I found this spot while looking for a wine bar with a great atmosphere in Seochon 🍷 Let me introduce Wine Stein Seochon, where I loved both the vibe and the food.

The moment I walked in, I loved how pretty the interior was. The warm wood tones and cute little objects dotted around made it fun to look around, and the floor-to-ceiling windows kept the space from feeling closed in—it felt quite spacious and comfortable.

Wine Stein Seochon operates as a café during the day and a wine bar in the evening. We visited during the day, but wanted to enjoy the wine-bar atmosphere rather than café vibes, so we ordered wine haha. It was nice to be able to have wine in the daytime, and the natural light through the large windows gave it a different feel from the evening. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to leisurely enjoy a glass of wine during the day!

Wine and snack pairings
I also loved that the menu was more varied than I expected! There were plenty of options, from snacks that go well with wine to more substantial dishes, so it was easy to choose according to your taste. Every dish looked lovely, too, so it was a treat for the eyes as well. It would also be a good place for a group to order several things and share.

I tend to like acidic white wines, so I told them my preference and asked for a recommendation. It was so good that I was really glad I did! It was fresh and clean in style, paired well with the food, and went down easily without feeling heavy.

I even took a photo so I could buy it again next time.

For snacks, we ordered haejang ramyeon (spicy hangover ramen) and olives, and both were delicious! The ramen in particular was spicy, with a rich broth that was great to eat between sips of wine. The olives were salty and paired so nicely with the wine that I kept reaching for them. The combination worked much better than I expected, so I was very satisfied.

The fun of browsing wine and little objects
There was also a pretty varied wine selection, which made browsing fun. Looking at the bottle designs and labels was enjoyable too, so I spent quite a while looking before even choosing a wine haha.

And it isn’t a place that only sells wine—there were various little objects for sale too, which made it quite fun to browse. Cute and pretty items were displayed throughout the shop, so I found myself looking at them one by one even while drinking wine haha. I usually love browsing these kinds of atmospheric objects, and there was more to see than I expected. Rather than simply drinking wine and leaving, it felt like a nice place to spend time slowly looking around at different things. You can buy anything you like, too, so it could be nice to pick out a gift while you browse!

A photo spot with lovely natural light through large windows
Before leaving, I took photos of the part of the shop I liked most haha. With its floor-to-ceiling windows, the space felt much wider and more open without feeling stuffy, and the gentle natural light made the overall atmosphere warmer and prettier. It was also nice to see the view outside during the day, and just sitting there felt relaxing. Photos inside captured the sense of space and mood beautifully, so it really was a great photo spot.

Above all, the interior was so pretty that it was great for taking photos! There were lovely objects and atmospheric corners everywhere, so photos turned out beautifully wherever I took them. Along with delicious wine and food, there was plenty to browse, so I think it would be great for a date or a gathering too. If you’re looking for pretty interiors and photo spots, I highly recommend Wine Stein Seochon :)
