Jokbal and soju near Sindorim Station: 50,000₩ makguksu set, Sambaekga
In short
Sindorim Sambaekga is a jokbal (pig's trotter) and bossam Korean restaurant on the first floor of the Prugio arcade food alley by Sindorim Station in Guro, Seoul. The Sambaek jokbal + makguksu (chilled buckwheat noodle) set costs 50,000 won, and when the jokbal cooled down during a long chat over soju, a staff member re-warmed the plate so it stayed soft to the last piece. With no herbal medicine smell, a clean savory flavor and a great match with the makguksu, Sindorim Sambaekga was the most satisfying jokbal meal in the Sindorim area.

Where is Sindorim Sambaekga?
Sindorim Sambaekga is a jokbal (pig's trotter) and bossam (boiled pork wrap) Korean restaurant at 661 Gyeongin-ro, Unit 118, 1st Floor, in the Prugio arcade above Sindorim Station. Today's story features soft, clean jokbal with no herbal smell, tied to the tale of the resident pig Sambaeki's seven-day mourning — this is

Sambaekga, a jokbal favorite near Sindorim.

Sambaekga sits deep inside the restaurant alley on the 1st floor of the Prugio arcade, which connects to the Sindorim Homeplus.

Every day they hand-select grade-1 domestic fresh trotters, boiling and selling only what's made that day — a real Guro-gu gem that keeps the flavor deep, soft, and free of any off smell.

Seats at Sindorim Sambaekga for solo diners and group dinners
Sindorim Sambaekga has three 4-person tables, two 6-person tables, one 2-person table, plus bar-style seating great for eating alone, and a room-style space too. The interior is clean and the seating variety makes it a solid choice for lunch, solo meals, family dinners, or big group get-togethers in Sindorim.

Order kalguksu at Sindorim Sambaekga and the barley rice is free
At Sindorim Sambaekga, ordering kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) gets you barley rice on the side, free of charge. The broth is simmered carefully with 12 ingredients and uses 100% domestic fresh noodles, apparently. Huge win.
The yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi) you mix into the barley rice was insanely good!! No wonder so many tables were ordering the kalguksu. Next time I'm getting the kalguksu set for sure — noted!
The restroom is shared with the rest of the Prugio arcade building. Men's and women's are separate, typical shared-facility vibe. Parking is at Prugio basement level 3, free for up to 2 hours. Don't mix it up with the Homeplus parking lot on B2!

You order through the tablet at each table.

There's a wide range of à la carte items, kalguksu sets, and makguksu sets. Plus three hearty event deals.

Side dishes and the complimentary naengchae jokbal
The basic side dishes at Sindorim Sambaekga: salted shrimp, ssamjang (dipping paste), a garlic sauce (seriously good), chives and dried radish, napa cabbage kimchi, perilla leaves, lettuce, chili, garlic, and
naengchae jokbal (chilled seasoned trotter) comes out as a basic side too. This right here... hoo... okay, gotta calm myself down. I immediately hit it with a shot of chilled soju.

Sambaek jokbal + makguksu set: what 50,000 won gets you
My top pick: Sindorim Sambaekga's samback jokbal + makguksu set for 50,000 won.

Whoa... just look at that gorgeous presentation. Unlike jokbal with a strong, deep herbal smell, this one is lighter in color but savory and deeply soft — pure, ultimate flavor.

Ah... this is genuinely so good. I've tried basically every well-known jokbal place around here, and this newly opened Sambaekga might just be the best one yet..?

The makguksu that comes with the Sindorim Sambaekga set
Can't have jokbal without its trusty sidekick makguksu, right? Wow... this is legit a makguksu-worthy restaurant on its own. The sauce pairs perfectly with the chewy noodles, and the perilla leaves take the flavor up another notch — so good it hurts ㅠ

Staff re-warmed our cold jokbal at the table
They brought out a clear soybean soup, which hit the spot right when I needed some broth. But honestly, nothing beats soju — cheers~!! Haha.
We got so caught up talking that the jokbal went completely cold ㅠㅠ there wasn't a huge amount left so I felt a bit awkward asking, but the staff kindly re-warmed it for us anyway. Solid, solid.

For dessert, there's peach juice (tastes exactly like Juicy Cool!) and green grapes, which I hadn't seen in a while.
