Korean restaurant near Sindorim Station with a toddler: Sambaekga
In short
Sindorim Sambaekga is a bossam (boiled pork wrap) and kalguksu (knife-cut noodle) restaurant on Gyeongin-ro by Sindorim Station in Guro, Seoul. After work, three of us — the writer, her mother-in-law and a 22-month-old baby — ordered the medium bossam kalguksu set for 42,000 won and ate at a partitioned table, where the Sambaek bossam pork was tender enough to cut with chopsticks and the baby kept reaching out for more. If you want Korean food you can eat comfortably with a baby in Sindorim, the bossam kalguksu set at Sindorim Sambaekga is the one to order.

Today I'm bringing you a review of a spot in Sindorim my mother-in-law, my toddler, and I went to for dinner after work 🤍

Honestly, eating out with a baby means the menu choice itself is stressful ㅠ nothing too spicy, and if the meat is tough she just won't eat it at all. So this time I picked bossam (boiled pork wrap) since even my toddler could eat it, and we went to Sindorim Sambaekga 😌 Spoiler: my mother-in-law, me, and my toddler all loved it, so if you've been looking for Korean food to eat with a baby in Sindorim, this might be worth checking out~
What Sindorim Sambaekga looks like, and the best seat with a toddler
We visited Sindorim Sambaekga in the evening, and the inside was bright and tidy. There were partitioned seats as well as separate group seating, so it felt comfortable whether you're with a baby or a bigger family gathering.

There were seats sectioned off by partitions, and since we had our baby with us, we chose one that was a bit more enclosed haha. There's group seating too, so it seemed like a space you could easily bring a family or a group to~

On the way out there was peach juice and candy set up, so it was nice to grab one each after eating haha. Little touches like that are surprisingly heart-melting 😆

Medium bossam kalguksu set, 42,000 won: enough for three
We ordered the bossam kalguksu set in medium size at Sindorim Sambaekga! Medium is ₩42,000, changing to large is ₩51,000, and switching to spicy kalguksu adds ₩1,000.
- Bossam kalguksu set, medium ₩42,000
- Large size upgrade ₩51,000 (+₩9,000)
- Spicy kalguksu upgrade +₩1,000
Since we had our baby with us, we skipped the spicy kalguksu and went with the basic one haha. Even the medium size was plenty for the three of us! With bossam and kalguksu both, it made for a really filling meal. Two adults and a 22-month-old baby all left full haha.
How the Sambaek bossam pork tastes — the 22-month-old asked for more
Sindorim Sambaekga's samba bossam is apparently made with yakgam pork — pigs raised eating Sangju persimmons — layered with mulberry leaves. Honestly, whether a bossam restaurant is any good shows immediately in the meat itself.

Tasting it, there was zero gamey smell and the meat was completely tender!! 😋

I cut some for my toddler, and it was so soft it just fell apart with chopsticks lol. It was so easy to serve her, and she genuinely loved it!!
She finished the piece in front of her and reached out for more 😂 approved by a 22-month-old lol. It wasn't greasy at all — clean and savory, so we ate it all without getting sick of it:) Wrapped in cabbage or perilla leaf with minced garlic sauce, ssamjang, and salted shrimp, it's absolutely perfect 👍

This is my favorite combo!! My mother-in-law gave a thumbs up saying the meat was tender and great, and I couldn't put my chopsticks down either haha.
The banchan lineup and the cold naengchae jokbal (chilled pig's trotters)
The banchan (side dishes) were genuinely solid, and I especially loved the dried radish. Eating it alongside a piece of meat added a crunchy texture that worked really well, and topping a wrap with the chive salad gave a refreshing, clean finish haha. There was also naengchae jokbal (cold seasoned pig's feet) served as a side.

Honestly, the naengchae jokbal I'd had before had a slight gamey smell so it wasn't really my thing ㅠㅠ but this one had almost none of that smell, and with cucumber, egg garnish, and chewy jellyfish mixed in, it was fresh and clean — better than I expected haha.
The plain kalguksu: noodles and broth
We ordered the basic kalguksu, and the noodles were so springy and chewy that it was genuinely delicious!!

My toddler ate some rice and even slurped up the kalguksu noodles haha. The broth, simmered with 12 ingredients apparently, had a deep, clean flavor, and a spoonful of that warm kalguksu broth warmed you right up. It paired so well with the bossam too — there's a reason these two come as a set haha 🍜

Final verdict on Sindorim Sambaekga
I was exhausted after work, but eating something this good gave me energy again 🥹 My mother-in-law said it was delicious, my toddler kept asking for more meat lol — but honestly the best part was that all three of us could eat comfortably together with a baby along. If you're looking for Korean food to eat with a baby in Sindorim, this could be a good one to check out~ The bossam and kalguksu combo works surprisingly well together, so definitely try the set 😋
