Sharosu-gil burger bar seats with 100-hour aged bacon: Daily Fix
In short
Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance is a handmade burger restaurant with New York diner style on Gwanak-ro in Sharosu-gil, Gwanak, Seoul. Over dinner at the window bar, the order was one double cheeseburger, one bacon cheeseburger and thick-cut 18fries, built on a 100% Korean beef patty and bacon cured in-house for 100 hours. Daily Fix felt less like a burger to fill up on and more like a finished plate of food, which made the answer to returning a firm yes.

The burger I usually eat is Bareburger, but I heard Daily Fix is having a moment thanks to Kang Min-kyung's pick, so I went to Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance. So excited
Even from a distance, it was giving proper New York diner energy. There are so many handmade burger places popping up in Sharosu-gil these days, but this one was on a different level. The location, the vibe, the patty quality, even the Michelin chef background — all perfect, so I had to write a review!

What are the bar seats at Daily Fix like in the evening?
The bar seats at Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance face the window looking outside. The weather's been so nice lately that sitting at the bar and looking out while eating felt even better haha. By evening the lighting was soft and classical music was playing, giving off a hip handmade-burger pub feel.

A brand from New York Michelin kitchens, 0.02 points off the Korea Burger Championship title
There's a reason this place is amazing. Daily Fix is a brand made by chefs who came from Per Se (three Michelin stars in New York) and Momofuku Ko (two stars).
On top of that, they came in second at the Korea Burger Championship by just 0.02 points, which, honestly, at that margin might as well be a win.

What we ordered at Daily Fix: double cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, 18fries
I thought a Michelin-pedigree burger joint would be pricey, but compared to Gordon Ramsay's burgers it didn't feel expensive at all. And the important part — it's a 100% Korean beef patty!!
- 1 double cheeseburger
- 1 bacon cheeseburger
- 18fries (thick-cut fries) added
- extra soda
For fries, you have to go with 18fries! A must.

Left is the double cheeseburger with fries, right is the bacon cheeseburger. Can you see the thickness of those fries,,, insanely good.

Can you see the Korean beef patty... there was a light smoky char and every bite burst with savory Korean beef juices. No off smell at all, soft, and genuinely delicious.

The double cheeseburger with 100% Korean beef patties
The double cheeseburger has two patties, so it's genuinely thick!!! If you want to feel the true form of the 100% Korean beef patty they say is shaped fresh every morning, I highly recommend the basic burger line. The bun was fluffy and nutty too, hugging the patty perfectly. This was also really good.

18fries: Daily Fix's thick-cut fries
And the other heavy hitter — the fries!! When I traveled to South America, the potatoes there were so good the fries tasted totally different from Korea, and these reminded me of that, which made me so happy.
Freshly fried, crispy outside and moist inside. If you like baked whole potatoes, you have to order these... the inside is fluffy. And there's so much of it that two people could probably share one order.

The bacon cheeseburger with 100-hour aged house bacon
And the one that was really my style, the bacon cheeseburger!!!!!!! Kang Min-kyung's pick haha. But it was seriously delicious..... I'm normally not a bacon person (because when it cools it gets hard and crumbles like a cracker, which I don't love)... but this was bacon on a totally different level, wait what?
Kind of like someone who doesn't like ham trying jambon-beurre for the first time and going, wait, I do like ham!? Anyway, even people who don't like bacon should try this... apparently it's handmade bacon aged for 100 hours.... the balance of nuttiness and smokiness was pure art.

Is Daily Fix in Sharosu-gil worth going back to?
You can tell right away this isn't the hard, brittle bacon you get at a hotel breakfast buffet. 100% Korean beef patty + 100-hour aged bacon + a Michelin chef's special recipe = insane flavor.
Overall, this didn't feel like a handmade burger to just fill you up — it felt like a genuinely well-crafted, one-dish fine meal. I properly felt the weight of losing the Korea Burger Championship by only 0.02 points. If you want a real handmade burger in Sharosu-gil, I'd say you have to visit Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance. My intent to return was 200%.
