I found the perfect spot for enjoying a comfortable, filling late-night snack and drinking side dish at my Jeju accommodation !!!! It's Jejju Seogwipo New Town Branch, known for its fresh sushi and rice bowls packed with smoky charcoal-grilled flavor. I packed some side dishes to go and enjoyed them back at my room with a drink — here's my takeout review of Jejju.

What kind of menu do they serve?
✔️Fresh sushi & charcoal-grilled octopus specialty, filling value-for-money set menus, clean takeout packaging✔️
Jejju Seogwipo New Town Branch is apparently a popular Seogwipo spot known for its spicy, smoky charcoal-grilled octopus rice bowl, plus a variety of dishes like fresh salmon sushi and shrimp sushi. The menu is really diverse, so it seemed like a convenient place to pick from even with a group !!!

No wonder there were customers of all ages in the store, from students to adults! Jejju is clean and the staff are really kind, so it puts you in a good mood from the moment you walk in! The owner is so full of energy haha 🤣ㅎㅎㅎ which made it even more satisfying!
Takeout order breakdown and prices
- Anju sam-chongsa (three-side-dish combo) ₩23,800
- Tonkatsu ₩7,800
- Total ₩31,600
A well-packed menu — I brought home the anju sam-chongsa and tonkatsu from Jejju Seogwipo New Town Branch to have a relaxed drink at my accommodation while traveling! Even with all of that, it came out to just over ₩30,000, which is ridiculous value…!!! Honestly, thanks to that value, I think it's a place worth visiting often haha. Great for people living alone and for students alike…!!!

Anju sam-chongsa (three-side-dish combo), ₩23,800
The anju sam-chongsa comes with salmon, yukhoe (raw beef tartare), and octopus, and the ingredients were really fresh and generous, so the drinks kept flowing (it originally comes with sushi, but I swapped it for octopus ~!). The salmon with onion and tartar sauce was so soft and savory and just perfectly delicious ..!!! Total drinking-food material 😋😋

The yukhoe also came with minced garlic on the side, which was great for boosting its flavor ~!😮 The octopus especially was spicy with that smoky charcoal flavor really coming through, totally my type. Personally, the octopus was my number one 😉👍🏻 (the sauce made me want to mix it right into rice 🥹)

Tonkatsu, ₩7,800
The tonkatsu I ordered alongside was crispy and savory, a perfect match ~! And it turns out the set also included pub potatoes and fried mandu (dumplings)!? Nice to have more variety to enjoy 👍🏻😉 Plus the side dishes included rakkyo (pickled shallots) and yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi), which kept everything from feeling greasy and let me eat it all cleanly haha.

Why I'd recommend this for a late-night snack at your accommodation
The staff were kind and the store was clean, so it was a pleasant experience packing takeout haha. Judging by how much delivery seems to go out, it must also be famous as a delivery spot ~! The portions were generous and well-composed, making me think it'd be great to order the premium Seogwipo lunchbox for a group next time and eat it outdoors ~! Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Seogwipo who wants good drinking food and a drink at their accommodation !
