I feel like figuring out breakfast while traveling in Jeju sets the tone for the whole day. Especially when staying around Jungmun in Seogwipo, finding a breakfast spot was harder than I expected.

First, lunchbox takeaway is available! Eating in is nice, but on days when you want to relax at your accommodation, you can simply take a Seogwipo lunchbox with you. Just imagining spreading out a lunchbox near the beach... doesn’t that make you happy already? 🌊

Second, group orders are possible! Being able to place group lunchbox orders in Jeju is a real advantage for tour groups and group travelers. I was impressed that a Seogwipo group lunchbox order could sort out breakfast for several people at once. Next time I come to Jeju with friends as a group, I thought this would be perfect to order from!

Third, there is variety! With rice bowls, sushi, and udon, everyone can order what they want even when your group has completely different tastes. Anyone traveling with children knows how important that is, haha.

From my experience, it is uncommon to find breakfast of this quality at this price in Seogwipo. Set menus start at ₩11,800, which is easier on the travel budget, and I was happy with both the taste and quality. “Premium Seogwipo lunchbox” feels like exactly the right positioning. It takes the familiar lunchbox format and adds premium ingredients such as salmon and cream mayo, making breakfast feel both everyday and special.

This was what my husband ordered. I wondered whether a spicy pork rice bowl might be too heavy first thing in the morning, but when it arrived, it was not at all.

Neatly stir-fried pork with a restrained seasoning sat over the rice. It was not overpowering, so it was just right for breakfast. Paired with yubu udon (fried tofu udon), it made a warm, satisfying morning meal. 🍜

This is so good for breakfast, isn’t it?

That is what my husband said, and after one bite, I immediately agreed too, haha.

This was my order! 🐟 I was drawn to it from the name alone. Grilled salmon with cream mayo sauce... isn’t it lovely just to think you can enjoy a dish like this for breakfast while traveling? ^^ When I actually tried it, the grilled salmon was lightly crisp on the outside and moist inside. The cream mayo sauce went so well with the salmon that I mixed every last bit into the rice... 🤫

The yubu udon broth was sweet and warm, and it felt like it warmed me up from the inside on a morning. I think this might be the most distinctive and delicious item on the menu here!

Half-and-half salmon sushi, 10 pieces

5 pieces raw salmon + 5 pieces grilled salmon

We ordered this because my child loves sushi. 🍣 It comes with five pieces of raw salmon and five pieces of grilled salmon, so it is fun to compare the two kinds of salmon as you eat.

My child said the raw salmon melted gently in the mouth. 😄 The grilled salmon had a richer, nuttier flavor, so my child preferred that one. The quality was more than enjoyable for adults too, and at ₩19,800, it felt reasonable considering Jeju prices!
