Is Osteria Lucia easy to reach from Hakdong Station?

I visited Osteria Lucia (오스테리아 루치아) for a lunch appointment with my cousin. It was close to Exit 3 of Hakdong Station and on the building’s first floor, so it was easy to find. It felt like a convenient place to meet and eat using public transit.

Does the atmosphere suit a lunch gathering or date?

The interior was neatly arranged in beige tones. An open kitchen was visible straight ahead, with a wine bar and private-room area beside it.

I saw many people meeting during lunch, so I thought it would also suit business gatherings. The large table looked as though it could seat around 20 people, and there was a separate area for group meals. However, I did not verify the table’s actual capacity.

It was clean and somewhat upscale, without feeling overly formal. I thought it could also work well for a date or a blind-date meal.

How were the ragu pasta and mushroom risotto?

Pasta was the main offering at the time of my visit, and there was no pizza menu. Since I usually like ragu, I chose the Korean beef grade 1++ ragu bianco, and we also ordered the mushroom risotto.

The ragu pasta included well-seared Korean beef, finely crumbled like soboro. The meat added texture as I chewed it with the pasta, and I enjoyed its flavor and aroma.

The menu described the mushroom risotto as flavored with mushroom paste, and it had a rich mushroom aroma when I tried it. The rice had a chewy texture that reminded me of brown rice. I could not tell the exact type of rice, but it suited my taste because I value the texture of the grains in risotto.

Both dishes had a white cream-sauce base, so at first I wondered whether they might feel too rich. Eating them together, they were less heavy than I expected, and the pickles served alongside them worked well. We were both satisfied with the meal.

What stood out about the interior?

Along with the food, I liked the bright, well-lit interior. The space did not feel intimidating, and the service was kind, making it a satisfying choice for a lunch appointment.

The dining hall was screened from immediate view at the entrance, which made the space feel orderly. At the same time, the open kitchen straight ahead kept it from feeling closed in.

Even the passage to the restroom was decorated in the same style, and I noticed plants placed throughout. I visited at lunch, but I thought it would also pair well with a dinner accompanied by wine.

What are the corkage and group-gathering terms?

The fact that corkage was free at the time of my visit also stood out. Since the number of bottles that could be brought in free increased with group size, I thought it could work well for a gathering with wine. However, corkage terms may change, so it is best to confirm the number of free bottles and applicable conditions before booking.

I was told that the space can accommodate more than 60 people and that inquiries for private group bookings are possible. With a separate gathering area, I thought it could be considered for a wine gathering or year-end dinner.
