Italian restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul: Osteria Lucia’s Hanwoo ragu
In short
Osteria Lucia is an Italian restaurant near Hakdong Station in Gangnam, Seoul, where I had two pastas and mushroom risotto with a coworker for lunch. The creamy Hanwoo ragu bianco, whose beef flavor still came through, was the standout; the modern interior and separated group space also caught my eye.

What is Osteria Lucia near Hakdong Station like for lunch with coworkers?
I went to Osteria Lucia (오스테리아 루치아), which I had noticed while working near Hakdong Station, for lunch with a coworker. The address is 20 Hakdong-ro 30-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

The interior had an overall modern, clean feel. There was a separated space that looked well suited to gatherings, and many office workers had come for lunch gatherings.

My coworker and I talked about how nice the atmosphere was as we sat down. While waiting for our food, I could hear soft music and quiet conversation, which made me think it would also be nice for a date meal.
What did we order for lunch?
We ordered Hanwoo 1++ ragu bianco, bottarga, mushroom risotto, and Coke Zero. The dishes looked appetizing when they arrived, and I felt the portions were not small.

What did the Hanwoo 1++ ragu bianco taste like?

Of everything we had that day, the Hanwoo 1++ ragu bianco was my favorite. It had a generous amount of Hanwoo beef, and its meat flavor was not lost in the thick, creamy sauce. I also liked the chewy texture of the pasta.

Scooping up the pasta with some beef made for a full mouthful, yet the flavor still felt clean.
How did we eat the bottarga?

The signature bottarga is a fish roe pasta made with bottarga from Sicily, Italy, garlic, butter, and parsley. We were told to mix it well when it was served, so we mixed it evenly.

Once mixed, the pasta had a glossy sheen. It did not feel too heavy or insubstantial to me, so it worked well as a lunch dish.
Would I order the mushroom risotto again?

I often order dishes with mushrooms when I go to pasta restaurants, so I chose the mushroom risotto this time too. The risotto built its flavor by sautéing several kinds of mushrooms for a long time, pairing a thick cream sauce with slightly firm, salty cheese. I would like to order it again next time.

As we served small portions onto the wide side plates and shared them, we quickly finished all three dishes. We barely talked while eating because we were focused on the meal.
