You know how it goes: you finish at Costco Hanam and have an awkward stretch of time left, and you can't decide where to go. That was me this day, so I headed to Real Toon Comic Café for the first time in a while to rest and pass the time. I stayed 3 hours on a weekday and the value was pretty good.

Where is Real Toon Comic Café in Hanam, and is there parking?

Real Toon Comic Café is at 45 Misagangbyeonjungang-ro 204beon-gil, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi, in the building across from Hanam Stadium. It's about a 3-minute walk from Exit 3 of Misa Station, so it's easy by public transport, and there's parking too, so bringing a car is fine. It's a great spot for killing time in Hanam. Once you reach the building, take the elevator up to the 9th floor. It's right in front of you when you step out, so it's not hard to find, and it's big enough that it looks like a comic café at a glance.

How Real Toon Comic Café works and how to choose a room

When you walk in, a staff member guides you. You store your shoes first, then pick a room.

The big point here is that there's a really wide variety of rooms.

They're split into desk rooms, game rooms and TV rooms, and

the popular ones are definitely the game + TV rooms! I agonized over it and really wanted a game room, but held back...

Desk room vs. game room: which is better?

I picked a desk room to stay quiet, but honestly, I'd recommend the game room, haha.

The space itself is wide, so it never feels stuffy,

and everything you need is well stocked: blankets, fans, board games and more.

Real Toon Comic Café prices: 3 hours or 5 hours?

I used the weekday 3-hour + drink set! But honestly, 5 hours is the better value. 3 hours goes by faster than you'd think.

The prices are reasonable for the facilities, at a level students can easily afford. A drink is included, and you can switch it for an extra charge.

Each room has its own house rules, so give them a quick check.

For reference, the rooms at Real Toon Comic Café have no separate air conditioning, but if you grab a fan at the entrance, it's comfortable enough.

Food matters at comic cafés these days! Real Toon has a wide menu, and you can have a meal there too.

I'd already eaten, so I kept it light.

• Basic drink: iced americano, iced tea
• Ice cream: one Sulleim (a squeezable pouch ice cream; I absolutely recommend the Sulleim!)
• Snacks: cereal and Haribo Cola gummies, and honestly this combo is perfect!

Is Real Toon Comic Café worth it when you have spare time in Hanam?

When you have an awkward gap of time in Hanam, Real Toon Comic Café is a solid choice. Visiting on a weekday is more relaxed and the prices are reasonable, so I was very satisfied. The facilities are clean and the space is wide, so it's near the top of the comic cafés I've been to! If you have time to spare, drop by :)
