Do you know Bada Yakbang, the hidden hotspot izakaya near Sindang Station? 🍣
Wow, this is such a good find! If you're looking for a hot izakaya near Sindang Station — not just 'Sindang' but the trendy 'hip-dang' as people call it — this is the place I'd recommend! It's also a Sindang-dong restaurant and bar with a genuinely huge drink selection.

How to find Bada Yakbang Sindang Branch, and where to park
Bada Yakbang Sindang Branch is really close to Sindang Station! It's about a 6-minute walk from Exit 6. The building entrance is clean and tidy, so it's easy to spot at a glance.
For parking, you can use street parking around the building or a nearby public lot, but since it's right by Sindang Station, taking public transit is much more convenient.
Inside Bada Yakbang: the look, the mood, and is there a private room?

The exterior is so modern and sleek! The blue-and-white sign stands out at a glance, and the 'pharmacy' concept comes through in a really upscale way.

Wow, stepping inside, you can tell it's decorated with real taste! The warm wood-tone chairs pair perfectly with the black tabletops, and the atmosphere is really great.

There's one private room inside, so small group gatherings or work dinners are totally doable. The restrooms are separated by gender and kept really clean, so it's comfortable to use. The kitchen is also open-style, so you can watch the cooking happen — that's a fun element too!
Bada Yakbang menu and prices
The menu is really solid and varied! Let me introduce the main items. The assorted aged sashimi deluxe set (lunch special) and the ankimo salt gimbap are 25,000 won each, and the bracken fern beef pancake is 21,000 won. Side dishes like smashed cucumber, the pharmacy omija-flavored highball (non-alcoholic), melon highball, and perilla oil ice cream round out a really solid lineup.

They have their own limited-edition liquor packages recommended by the house, so picking one is genuinely fun!

If you write a review, they give you free perilla oil ice cream, so keep that in mind!
Assorted aged sashimi deluxe lunch set, 25,000 won: how it tasted

The 25,000-won assorted aged sashimi deluxe set is the lunch special — the signature dish, letting you taste 8 to 12 kinds of fish, each aged in-house from the freshest seasonal catch brought in daily! You could really see that each piece was a different fish. Some, like the salmon, had a deep color that whet the appetite, with a real shine to it.

The basic side dishes were insanely good too! They gave us ankimo (monkfish liver)?! Wrapped with sushi rice, seaweed, and sashimi together — done!! You could taste the freshness in every bite. Truly a great value experience.

Ankimo (monkfish liver) salt gimbap, 25,000 won
There's no other Sindang Station restaurant like this for the ankimo salt gimbap at 25,000 won! They really pack it full of ankimo, which is amazing, but it was almost too much to finish — such a shame to leave any behind! That's how generous the portion is, making it a great menu item to share with a group. The savory richness of the ankimo pairs perfectly with the rice, and at this price, it's an absolute steal!

Bracken fern beef pancake, 21,000 won
The bracken fern beef pancake is 21,000 won — an egg-based beef pancake loaded with bracken fern, and honestly, it was the first time I'd tried this combination! It's a genius menu item! Not greasy at all, and it goes down so smoothly with drinks! I'd fully recommend this side dish. The savory richness of the beef pancake meets the texture of the bracken fern for a whole new experience.

Smashed cucumber, 6,000 won
The smashed cucumber at 6,000 won is a must for cucumber lovers! It acts almost like a palate-cleansing salad for the aged sashimi — refreshing, and it cuts through the richness right when you start to get full on sashimi! It's impressive that a Sindang Station restaurant pays this much attention to detail.

Yakbang omija-flavored highball, 8,000 won (non-alcoholic)
The pharmacy omija-flavored highball at 8,000 won is a special drink Bada Yakbang made to match its 'pharmacy' concept! It's an omija-flavored highball mixed with whisky syrup, but it's non-alcoholic, so even people who can't drink can fully enjoy it. I'm a lightweight, so it was just right for me, but for alcohol lovers I'd recommend the melon highball! Apparently it's really popular.

Perilla oil ice cream, 8,000 won
We ordered the perilla oil ice cream at 8,000 won for dessert. My mom was skeptical at first — 'perilla oil ice cream?' — but she ended up eating the most of it, even though she's not usually an ice cream person! It's topped with whole perilla seeds that pop as you bite, and the nutty perilla oil blends with the vanilla ice cream for a premium ice cream feel! By the way, it's free if you write a review — I paid for mine, but you should definitely write a review and get it free! Even if you pay, it's worth every won.
Is the Bada Yakbang lunch special worth it?
True to a hip-dang izakaya, the atmosphere and the food were both fantastic! It's a genuinely great-value restaurant and bar that runs the lunch special even on weekends, so if you're in Sindang, you have to visit! The drink selection is huge too, so picking one is part of the fun, and whatever you choose, you'll be satisfied! Totally good good!
