I was looking for somewhere clean to eat near Daegu Health College and ended up at Myeonsikdang Daegu Bogeondae 😊 The menu ranges from noodles to pork cutlet to shabu pho, so it was great for picking whatever suited my mood.

This time I ordered cold soba with mozzarella cheese katsu, and shabu pho with demi-glace hireu katsu, so I got to try several dishes together. Rather than sticking to one menu item, picking different dishes and sharing them made it fun to compare the flavors. The atmosphere and the food were both satisfying overall, so I wanted to recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to eat near Daegu Health College 🍽️
What is Myeonsikdang Daegu Bogeondae like inside? Clean and roomy ✨
The first thing I noticed walking into Myeonsikdang Daegu Bogeondae was how clean the interior was. The tables and surrounding space were all tidy, so I could eat in a relaxed atmosphere.
Best of all, the spacing between tables was wider than I expected. At some restaurants the tables are packed so close you bump into the next table or can't talk comfortably, but Myeonsikdang Daegu Bogeondae was laid out with more breathing room, so I never felt cramped while eating 😊
It seemed like a comfortable place to visit with friends or family, and even with several people it looked like seating wouldn't be much of an issue.
Where do you park at Myeonsikdang Daegu Bogeondae? 🚗
If you're driving to Myeonsikdang Daegu Bogeondae, it's worth knowing about parking ahead of time. The signage indicated you can use the parking space in the alley around the restaurant, or on weekends use the model house parking lot.
If you're planning to drive, parking availability can change depending on when you arrive, so it seemed best to check ahead. Weekends especially can get busy at mealtimes, so I'd recommend building in some extra time to find parking 😊

What is on the self-serve bar? Udon broth, kimchi, pickled radish 🥢
After ordering, I could also use the self-serve bar at Myeonsikdang Daegu Bogeondae. Udon broth, kimchi and pickled radish were set out as basics, so I could help myself to as much as I wanted.
While eating pork cutlet or noodles, you sometimes crave kimchi or pickled radish partway through, and it was convenient to just grab more as needed. Having warm udon broth ready was especially nice too — I could sip a bit of broth while waiting for the main dish, which made the whole experience feel low-pressure 😋

How is the cold soba? Cool and clean-tasting 🧊🍜
The first order was cold soba with 2 pieces of mozzarella cheese katsu.

The cold soba had chilled, refreshing broth that paired well with the clean flavor of buckwheat noodles. The noodles weren't heavy at all and went down smoothly, which made them a good match with pork cutlet. Rather than eating warm food nonstop, having cool soba alongside it felt like a palate reset each time.

The broth was salty with a savory depth, so dipping the noodles in it never felt bland, and overall the clean flavor made it a great fit for hot weather 😊

Cold soba on its own can taste plain, but eating it alongside the mozzarella cheese katsu made for a good combination.
How is the mozzarella cheese katsu? Cheese that stretches 🧀🥩
I ordered the mozzarella cheese katsu as 2 pieces. This pork cutlet has cheese inside, and eating it while still warm meant the cheese stretched softly 🧀
The outside was fried crispy, and the inside had the soft, savory taste of cheese added in, giving it a different appeal from regular pork cutlet. The savoriness of the cheese itself paired well with the clean, crispy taste of the cutlet, and each piece was a manageable size, good for alternating with the cold soba.

I especially liked the texture — crispy breading first, then soft cheese right after 😋 If you like pork cutlet with cheese inside, this is a menu worth ordering at least once.

Is the shabu pho filling? 🍲
The second order was shabu pho with demi-glace hireu katsu. Shabu pho let me have warm broth and noodles together, a completely different feel from the cold soba. The broth was warm with a savory depth, and simmering it with vegetables made the flavor come together even more naturally.

I liked that the shabu style let me eat meat and vegetables together, and finishing off with the rice noodles after eating the other ingredients made for a pretty filling meal.
Especially once the noodles soaked up the broth, the warm, clean flavor really came through, leaving me feeling comfortably full 😊 If cold soba was refreshing and light, shabu pho was warm and hearty — the two had a completely different mood.

How is the demi-glace hire katsu? Tender and mild 🍖
I also enjoyed the demi-glace hireu katsu that came with the shabu pho. Hireu katsu (tenderloin cutlet) is lighter and softer than sirloin cutlet, and this time too the meat wasn't dry at all and chewed softly.
The breading was fairly crispy, and the meat inside was moist and light, so it was easy to eat without feeling heavy. On top of that, the sweet, rich flavor of the demi-glace sauce made it a great match for rice too.
Personally, alternating between the warm, light broth of the shabu pho and the crispy, savory hireu katsu let me enjoy two completely different textures and flavors 😋 If you like pork cutlet but find it too greasy sometimes, the hireu katsu might be the better choice.
Verdict: noodles and pork cutlets in one Daegu restaurant 🍽️
This time at Myeonsikdang Daegu Bogeondae I tried cold soba, mozzarella cheese katsu, shabu pho, and demi-glace hireu katsu, and each had its own clear personality.
- Cold soba: cool, clean flavor
- Mozzarella cheese katsu: crispy pork cutlet paired with savory, soft cheese
- Shabu pho: warm, savory broth with vegetables, meat, and rice noodles, filling
- Demi-glace hireu katsu: soft meat, crispy breading, sweet demi-glace sauce
The interior was clean and the tables were spaced out, so the meal felt comfortable throughout, and the self-serve bar with udon broth, kimchi and pickled radish made things convenient overall. I think it's a good spot to visit near Daegu Health College when you want noodles and pork cutlet together.
With such a wide range of menu options, it was easy for everyone in the group to order what they each felt like eating, even if tastes differed. Keep in mind you can use the nearby alley for parking, or the model house parking lot on weekends — knowing that ahead of time makes the visit even smoother 🚗✨
If you're looking for a clean, comfortable restaurant near Daegu Health College, or want to enjoy cool cold soba, crispy pork cutlet, and warm shabu pho all together, Myeonsikdang Daegu Bogeondae is worth a visit 😊
