How to find 1986 Shibuya Burger from Hoegi Station, and parking
1986 Shibuya Burger is located about a 9-minute walk from Hoegi Station! It's at the entrance of the Hoegi Station food alley, so it's great to walk around and check things out on the way. Walking along the alley, you can browse all kinds of restaurants, which is a real plus. The alley vibe is lively and energetic, so it's even better if you go around lunchtime!

What is the interior of 1986 Shibuya Burger like?
The interior really gives off Japanese vibes, and I love it. Once you're inside, it's decorated in warm wood tones, and there are all sorts of photos and posters on the walls that make you feel like you've traveled to Japan!

The self-service bar is also well set up, and the overall vibe is clean and hip. The staff were super friendly too, so even a first-time visitor can order comfortably!
1986 Shibuya Burger menu and prices
The menu at 1986 Shibuya Burger is really varied!

The best menu items are the Golden Hash Burger, Jambon Wagyu Burger, and Chipotle Jambon Burger, priced from ₩8,900 to ₩13,800. Sets run about ₩12,000 to ₩13,900, which is very reasonable! For sides, there are sweet potato sticks, a whole mozzarella cheese bar, and a self-serve sauce bar. It's genuinely a great value pick for a Hoegi Station lunch spot!
How do the burgers taste?

Golden Jambon Wagyu Burger

Wow~ this burger was really delicious! The handmade patty and the thick, substantial jambon (ham) went so well together that it wasn't greasy at all, and the flavor felt doubled. The rich taste of the wagyu and the mild texture of the jambon made for a perfect combination!
Shibuya Grilled Shrimp Burger
The shrimp patty had such plump, chunky shrimp in it that I almost didn't need to eat shrimp separately! The corn mayo sauce really brought out the flavor of the shrimp. You could really feel how plump the burger was! It was also packed with vegetables, giving it a fresh, healthy taste that I loved!

Shibuya Classic Burger
If too many patties feel like a lot to handle, I recommend this burger! It's called classic, but the patty tastes anything but classic! It's juicy and the price is great too!!!
Whole mozzarella cheese bar

It's packed with cheese and crispy on the outside — there's a reason this went viral! The way the cheese stretches out with one bite is the best. Eat it while it's hot and it's the ultimate side dish!
Sweet potato sticks

Unlike common fries, this doesn't have the sugar coating of candied sweet potato (mattang)! It's hot and crispy while still having a gentle sweetness from the sweet potato. Dip it in the garlic sauce from the self-serve bar and it's totally amazing!! This combo is seriously addictive!
The self-serve sauce bar: 6 sauces
It's great that there are as many as 6 kinds of sauce! You can pick sauces to match your own taste, which makes eating more fun. This kind of thoughtful attention to detail is really nice!
Receipt review event and mini ice cream

And they even give you a mini ice cream for the receipt review event!! Such a generous place — make sure you take part.
Is 1986 Shibuya Burger worth it? Final verdict

From the barley tea and free potato chips to the snack refresh kit, this place really feels like they're sincerely thinking about and taking care of their customers! I think it's these kinds of details that add up to make a good restaurant. By the way, the potato chips are also seriously delicious!! This is a place you won't regret at all as a Hoegi Station lunch spot, so if you ever feel like going to Japan, I definitely recommend giving it a try instead.
Wow~ this is seriously cheaper than a plane ticket!! 😂
