I was running errands at the Seoul International Electronics Center and looking for somewhere to grab lunch near Nambu Bus Terminal, so I stopped by Baek Sojeong Nambu Bus Terminal. I had a lunch date with my boyfriend that day, and since it's close to Nambu Bus Terminal Station too, it was easy to find.

Where is Baek Sojeong Nambu Bus Terminal?

Baek Sojeong Nambu Bus Terminal is located at 39 Hyoryeong-ro 55-gil, 1F Unit 3, Seocho-gu, Seoul. It's an easy walk from both Nambu Bus Terminal Station and the Seoul International Electronics Center.

I'd heard of Baek Sojeong plenty since it's such a famous franchise — I usually go to the Gangnam Station or Sinnonhyeon branches, where I always order the cold soba + tonkatsu set haha. This was my first time at the Nambu Terminal branch!

Baek Sojeong's menu is great because it has so many good lunch options — udon, tonkatsu, mazesoba (mixed noodles), and more. It's also a good spot for eating solo near Nambu Terminal! We debated and decided to order different menus each so we could share.

What I ordered was the karai (spicy) shrimp tempura fish cake udon + tonkatsu, priced at ₩15,900. As soon as it arrived, the portion looked so generous I wondered if I could even finish it all. It's enough to fill up an adult man for lunch too!

Spicy broth of the karai shrimp tempura fish cake udon

The first thing I noticed after one bite was that the udon noodles were much chewier than expected. The broth is on the spicy, savory side too, so if you like spicy food like me, this is a much better choice than a plain, clear udon.

It also came with shrimp tempura and fish cake, so it felt much heartier than just noodles alone. And with tonkatsu on the side, it was even more filling than udon by itself — the portion is so big I'd say women should probably just order it as a single dish!

The tonkatsu was really thick and the meat was light, not heavy at all. The breading was just the right thickness and nice and crispy — the tonkatsu itself was great. Baek Sojeong really does tonkatsu well 👍🏻

Gara-age bukkake udon and tonkatsu set

My boyfriend ordered the gara-age bukkake udon + tonkatsu, priced at ₩15,500. This one also had a bigger portion than we expected as soon as it arrived — nice surprise.

Cold bukkake udon topped with gara-age
Bukkake udon noodles mixed with sauce

Bukkake udon is served cold, so the noodles were especially chewy — great texture. Mixed well with the sauce, the seasoning was just right and the flavor was clean. It even came with gara-age (Japanese fried chicken) topping as standard, making it more varied and filling! Even my boyfriend, who usually eats a lot, said the portion was bigger than expected haha.

Salad served with the set

And every set came with a salad plus a sweet condensed milk cheese rice cake, which worked nicely as an appetizer and dessert haha.

Is Baek Sojeong a good lunch spot near Nambu Terminal?

Overall the food came out clean and the portions were generous, so it was a good place for lunch. Especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat solo or with a friend near Nambu Terminal, having a variety of menu options is a real plus. Prices are affordable and it's decent value for money — perfect for when eating just tonkatsu feels a bit lacking and you want udon alongside it, so ordering the set is ideal! I actually go here a lot when eating solo haha.

Chewy udon noodles + thick tonkatsu is always a delicious combo, and it was tasty again that day! I usually snack a lot, but after this lunch I felt full well into the afternoon. If you're looking for a lunch spot near Nambu Bus Terminal Station or somewhere to eat before or after visiting the Seoul International Electronics Center, give Baek Sojeong Nambu Bus Terminal a try!! It was a great place for a clean, satisfying meal ☺️☺️
