I had Korean beef tripe hot pot for dinner at Doonjeong (도온정) in Hyangdong. I had expectations after seeing its 2025 and 2026 Blue Ribbon Survey selections mentioned in the original post, and what stayed with me that day was the generous ingredients and clean-tasting broth.

Where is Doonjeong, and what about parking?
Doonjeong is in Hyangdong, Deogyang-gu, Goyang, near Sangam DMC. Its address is 130 Kkotnaeeum 1-gil, Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. There is no dedicated parking; the original post says to use a nearby public parking lot or street parking.

The hours listed in the original post are 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. There is a break from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and last orders are at 8:00 PM.
What is on the menu, and how much was the hot pot?
The signature dish is clear Korean beef cow gomtang (beef soup). This is a Korean restaurant built around gomtang, with meal dishes such as Korean beef yukhoe bibimbap and side dishes such as seasoned Korean beef tripe and seasoned meat. It also serves Korean beef hot pot and Korean beef tripe hot pot.

The Korean beef tripe hot pot I ordered was ₩54,000. The udon noodles I added during the meal were ₩3,000.
What were the side dishes served with the hot pot like?
While waiting for the hot pot, I received the basic table setting. The restaurant says its kimchi and kkakdugi are made with 100% domestic ingredients. They were side dishes to eat with the gomtang or hot pot, and I enjoyed both.

How much was in the Korean beef tripe hot pot, and how was the broth?
The hot pot arrived looking well stocked from the start. With tripe hot pot, the ingredients are as important as the broth, and I liked that it was so generous.

After letting it bubble away, it had the rich flavor typical of tripe hot pot, but the broth did not feel heavy or murky. It tasted clean, so I kept reaching for it.

Each spoonful came loaded with ingredients. The one hot pot felt like a satisfying meal that day.

What was it like with added udon noodles?
Partway through the meal, I added udon noodles. The chewy noodles soaked up the hot-pot broth well, making for a different flavor from the other ingredients. With the udon noodles, I was able to finish the meal feeling full.

What is the atmosphere like for a family meal?
There were not many tables, but it felt like a suitable setting for a family meal out. I also thought it suited having a drink with your meal.
