Anguk pizza restaurant for spicy taco pie: Low Five

In short

Low Five Anguk is a casual Italian restaurant in Jongno, Seoul. We ordered a half corn and Tex-Mex taco pizza, truffle cream pasta, and Caesar salad in its cozy wood-and-brick space. Verdict: the spicy taco pizza and creamy pasta were an excellent pairing.

Introduction to a visit to Low Five Anguk

The place I visited today was Low Five Anguk, a pizza spot that is seriously delicious even among all the hot places in Bukchon.

It began as a small brunch shop and has now settled into serving polished Western-style dishes.

Warm Wood-and-Brick Interior

The exterior has a red-brick look, so its pop of red immediately catches your eye even in the alley.

Inside, warm lighting and wood finishes come together for a wonderfully cozy feel. Brick details and red accents give it a stylish yet comfortable atmosphere. The space is fairly roomy, and there are seats for groups of up to eight, so it looked great for visiting with a bunch of friends.

Classic Caesar Salad

The salad arrived first, with assorted greens and cherry tomatoes tossed with lemon, ranch dressing, and Reggiano cheese.

Since it was already thoroughly dressed, we could dig in right away without needing to mix it ourselves.

Truffle Cream Pasta

This was a rich cream pasta loaded with flavorful grilled mushrooms and truffle oil.

The noodles were slightly thick, but cooked just right, with a lovely bite that went perfectly with the cream sauce.

Half-and-Half Pizza: Corn & Taco

Low Five's pizzas are not excessively large, making them just the right size for two people to enjoy alongside pasta.

Adding a refreshing Coke in the middle made the meal perfect.

Corn Pizza

I heard this corn pizza made the original Suwon Haenggung-dong branch famous, so it was a must-order. It had a truffle cream base topped with paprika seasoning, chili shrimp, bacon, and grilled corn, and none of the ingredients felt out of place—they were genuinely harmonious and delicious.

Tex-Mex Taco Pizza

This pizza has a spicy chipotle base. The staff suggested having it with hot sauce, but its own spicy flavor came through so well that it really was not necessary.

It came with finely chopped grilled shrimp and hot chicken, while the fresh salsa topping was the finishing touch. (For the record, I asked for no cilantro!) Its spicy, punchy flavor was completely my kind of thing.

Even the pizza crust was so delicious!

If you are looking for a special date or get-together spot in Bukchon, make sure to visit Low Five Anguk for its fantastic pizza. It was an excellent dining space where you can comfortably share delicious food in a cozy interior. The pizza-and-pasta combination was especially wonderful, so I definitely recommend ordering both!
