Went to Jeongja-dong on the weekend with my baby to buy some bread~ While looking for somewhere to grab a coffee after the bakery, I also stopped by Butter & Shelter, a dessert café famous on Jeongja-dong café street. I really love having americano with dessert?! So while I love places with great coffee, I also love dessert spots. When I go to a café I also check the parking, and this one has 2 hours free parking in the building, which is nice.

Window seat vibe and seating with a baby

Butter & Shelter's main thing seems to be the butter sand? But there are all kinds of other tasty desserts too. We sat by the window and decided to order after claiming a seat. There were other customers around so I just snapped a photo of the general vibe first. The chairs were wide and comfortable to sit in (though they're a bit heavy lol), and there wasn't a separate baby chair. Well, my daughter likes the adult chairs anyway haha.

What we ordered — from butter sand to butter Schümli

Besides coffee and the signature butter sand, the menu also had cookies, scones, cakes, butter rice cakes, and more — honestly everything looked delicious so picking was hard haha. Since I had my baby with me I wanted to avoid chocolate, so I picked the Nunettine-style scone, one butter sand, and the seasonal mango cake. My younger sister came along too for the bread run, so with three adults we ordered three coffees, and I also tried the signature coffee, the butter Schümli. Apparently a cream Schümli is a latte topped with butter cream~ But since sweet desserts pair so well with plain americano, we got americanos for the rest hahaha.

Hahaha took a selfie with my silly daughter in front of the mirror, and on the outdoor terrace there was a dog customer too so we watched the dog, and between chasing after her since she can't sit still and looking at the desserts, the order came out pretty quickly.♬

My daughter went quiet once the tasty stuff arrived lol. She waited (sort of) patiently for blogger mom to take photos hahaha.

Mango cake and the classic butter sand

The mango cake has canned mango on top and cream in between, but it tasted less sweet than I expected — more like a black-tea-flavored cream. My daughter scraped the cream off and just ate the cake lol. The butter sand was full of butter aroma with handmade caramel in the middle — a classic sand, and I think you should try the classic when you first visit! It's a sweet sand and tasty, and they had various types you could get gift-wrapped too. >_<

How was the coffee

The americano tasted good. We never go to places with bad coffee lol. And the butter Schümli with the butter cream on top~ The cream was chewy and tasty, so I secretly took the leftover home in a paper cup, not telling anyone ♪

The terrace seats and the crowded weekend afternoon

We visited in August so we didn't sit outside, but I love terrace seats?! This place will probably be super popular once autumn comes. There's quite a lot of terrace seating too, so we're planning to come back when we go for bread again in fall! On weekend afternoons a lot of people were coming in — we left right as it got busy haha.

Jeongja-dong café street really has a great vibe. ^^ There's a photo of my daughter after she cried and got scolded and went outside with dad lol. Butter & Shelter, the dessert café on Jeongja-dong café street that opens every day with no days off~ It had such a nice atmosphere that lots of friend groups and family gatherings were there too. And I saw someone packing up butter sand to take out, which looked great as a gift — I'll consider butter sand next time I need one. +_+

Butter & Shelter Bundang Jeongja, the nice-atmosphere dessert café on Jeongja-dong café street with the smell of coffee and dessert drifting through the air! Definitely worth a visit.
