A Suneol massage for my Pangyo turtle neck

I've basically been living as a Pangyo turtle-neck-1 lately, with my neck and shoulders never getting a day off, so I went to The Foot Shop near Suneol — good prices and a great vibe. I've been to a lot of Bundang massage places, but I didn't expect one to feel this much like an aesthetic clinic in terms of atmosphere?! The therapist at this Suneol Station massage spot was so calm and composed, I came out properly healed.

From the changing room to the foot bath

Tidy interior of the changing room

The changing room inside is just as tidy and cozy. It's quiet and comfortable, the front desk staff were friendly-looking and kind, and the therapist was kind too, so I got to spend the whole time in a good mood 🫶

A great Suneol massage spot for resting while you're being worked on — really solid, not just for the vibe.

There was a sign explaining that The Foot Shop, unlike blind massage therapists licensed for therapeutic treatment, is aimed at recovery and relaxation/condition care — so if you want really strong pressure and acupressure, you should go to a jiapwon (acupressure clinic) instead. You see this posted at basically every Bundang massage place. For me, it hurt plenty(?) even without super strong pressure, so I genuinely can't imagine what an acupressure clinic is like 🤣

After changing, you head to the foot bath. When you're soaking your feet in warm water, you'd usually be on your phone (which is exactly how I got this turtle neck in the first place), but the waiting room was so pretty I could just space out and soak instead.

This Suneol massage spot, The Foot Shop, also had a ventilation system — most Bundang massage places or aesthetic clinics don't have windows, so they apparently made a point of installing this. Looking up at the ceiling, you could tell they cared about air quality inside, which made the whole space feel fresher.

This Suneol massage specialist has such a nice, tidy atmosphere — good for a couple's visit, and just as suitable for bringing your parents.

How was the 60-minute body back care?

Treatment room where the 60-minute body back care took place

I got the 60-minute body back care. My therapist was calm and made me feel at ease, and carefully adjusted the pressure and worked on the sore spots with real attention.

I could really feel her paying extra attention to the spots that bother me the most day to day. She worked through everything unhurried, thorough, and calm — her style is gentle, but around the sore spots she went in more carefully, and it hurt in the moment while also feeling so good that I actually started dozing off...? 🫶 The room itself was so cozy that I got a proper rest out of it.

Wrapping up the visit

I was only there a short while, but even in that time I could see plenty of regulars coming through — this Suneol Station massage spot, The Foot Shop, has good hands and a calm atmosphere, a place where you can really unwind. When you need rest and relaxation, the good vibe plus the kind staff made this Suneol massage visit even more comfortable and refreshing 😊
