Seongsu dessert café for gift-box Signature Blanc & Noir: Notldun
In short
Notldun is a dessert café near Seoul Forest in Seongdong, Seoul. After browsing the showcase of madeleines, financiers and sliced desserts, the writer packed the Signature Blanc and Signature Noir to take away at 14,000 won each — the Blanc bright with raspberry tartness, the Noir rich with milk chocolate. Placed side by side in black and white, they make a great gift-worthy pick.

Notldun kept popping up whenever I searched for good Seongsu dessert spots, so I finally went to check it out~ The moment I saw the showcase, I just couldn't walk past. Every single dessert was gorgeous! It felt less like food and more like a little art exhibition haha.

Notldun is close to Seoul Forest, so it was an easy stop while wandering around Seongsu. Stepping inside, the whole space is clean and white-toned, with tables set up along the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Signature Blanc ₩14,000, Signature Noir ₩14,000. Visually, these are nothing like your typical slice cakes. From a dessert piled high with blueberries to a vivid green pistachio dessert to a chocolate one topped with cherries~ it was genuinely fun just looking at each one. I completely froze up trying to choose haha.

Taking home Notldun's Signature Blanc & Noir
Since it was my first visit, I had to try the signatures!! I packed two to go: Signature Blanc ₩14,000 and Signature Noir ₩14,000. Even just sitting side by side, the black-and-white look is so pretty. Genuinely perfect for a gift!!

How Signature Blanc tastes
The white Signature Blanc is made with white chocolate, raspberry, and pistachio. From the outside, with all that white chocolate, I thought it would be very sweet, but once I tasted it, the tart raspberry flavor coming through kept me going back for more bite after bite. Sweet, then tangy~ and I could also pick up the nutty pistachio flavor here and there, which I loved.

How Signature Noir tastes
The Noir is clearly made for chocolate lovers!! With its deep brown look, the mood is completely different from the Blanc. It's made with milk chocolate, almond, and whiskey, they said. One bite in, and yes, the chocolate flavor really comes through rich. Sweet and nutty, and a bit heavier than the Blanc~

Honestly it was so pretty I had an internal struggle over whether I should even eat it... but I worked up the courage and cut into it haha.

That moist texture is really... the best.

If I go again
There are so many cafés in Seongsu, but Notldun is really special. Next time I want to try the Pistachio Festival, which I was torn over this time.

If you're wandering around Seongsu craving a pretty, delicious dessert, and you're looking for a Seongsu dessert spot near Seoul Forest, stop by~
