My wedding is only about two months away, so I've been dieting hard lately ㅠㅠ👰‍♀️. Of all days, I had to eat solo near Gyodae, so I went looking for a diet-friendly poke bowl. Today's spot: Salering Gyodae Direct Store!

What does the seafood all-in-one bibim poke salad taste like with extra salmon?

This time at Salering Gyodae Direct Store I chose the seafood all-in-one bibim poke salad, added salmon and egg strips, and went with rose onion sauce. Tada‼️ Doesn't it look super hearty already, haha. The bowl was packed with ingredients — I was surprised at how much there was when I first got it!

Since it's a bibim poke, you're supposed to mix in the sauce and toss it all together, but the blogger's greed kicked in… for the photo, I took a bite before mixing (just at first)!

This is the salmon I added on top of the base — it was chewy yet soft, great texture!! I tend to pick up on fishy taste pretty easily, and even a slight hint usually gives it away, but this salmon had zero fishiness, which I loved 😆

Plump shrimp! 🍤 I figured it'd be regular cocktail shrimp-sized, but they were way bigger than expected!! Plump texture with a satisfying pop when you bite in — really tasty.

These are quail eggs — I just took a photo because they were too cute lol. So tiny!

Here's the full picture 🫶 I also added sparkling water to go with it. Looking at it all together, it's really hearty, haha. The main toppings are raw salmon, grilled shrimp, and scallops, plus apparently 15 ingredients total go into it 🫢

Since there are so many ingredients in this poke, the combination changes with every spoonful! Personally, the surprise standout was the scallops 👍 Chewy and nutty, I kept going back for more, haha.

A spoonful piled high with salmon and shrimp

And it eventually came to this lol — the bite of desire. I piled on so many toppings the spoon was barely heavy enough to hold it. Eating salmon, shrimp, and sauce all together in one bite, I honestly couldn't tell if this was a diet meal or just a delicious lunch lol. But hey, if it's tasty, that's what matters… haha.

Salering Gyodae Direct Store menu: calorie labels, protein balls and slim packs

The menu at Salering Gyodae Direct Store was way more varied than I expected — not just poke, but protein balls and slim pack lunchboxes too!! From diet-friendly options to menu items for people looking to get their protein in..! 🫢 What I liked most was that calories are listed next to each menu item, haha. When you're dieting you end up mentally counting calories anyway, so having them printed made choosing much easier. There was also a zero-calorie coffee menu, which looked good even for a takeout coffee run beyond just meals!

Fridge display of detox cleanse juices

How did they know I was dieting… they even had detox cleanse juice ㅋㅋㅋ 🥤 If you grab a juice to go after eating, it feels like you totally nailed your diet for the day. Dieting this way honestly feels too easy, haha.

Where are the solo seats at Salering? Window seats fill up with Gyodae Station office workers

The interior of Salering Gyodae Direct Store felt clean and pleasant overall. Best of all, there are plenty of solo seats, so it didn't feel awkward going alone. The seating was neatly arranged too, so it was easy to eat comfortably by myself and head out, haha.

In particular, all the window seats are solo seats, and apparently even these fill up completely during lunch hours ㅋㅋㅋ. There's a reason so many office workers near Gyodae Station come here for lunch..! ㅠㅠ

How to order at the kiosk, and how dressings and drinks work

Ordering kiosk at Salering Gyodae Direct Store

Ordering at Salering Gyodae Direct Store is done via kiosk ❗️ From choosing the menu, to adding toppings, selecting options, and paying — it's all done at the kiosk in one go, haha. Convenient for ordering solo, and I liked being able to pick out the toppings myself and build it exactly how I wanted 👍

Dressing options with recommended sauce highlighted

There are several types of dressing to choose from, but when you select a menu item on the kiosk, a recommended dressing pops up alongside it, so it's not hard to just go with that, haha. I went with rose onion this time, and it paired really well with the poke. For drinks 🧃, you show your receipt and grab it yourself — self-service, as expected!

Self-service zone with utensils, napkins, and cups

Utensils 🍴 are available at the pickup counter, and there's a separate self-service zone too. Napkins, cups, water, and other essentials are all set up in one area, so you just grab what you need, haha!!

Return zone for dishes after finishing a meal

And once you're done eating, just return your tray to the return zone — that's it! The whole thing is self-service, which makes it great for a quick solo meal 🥹

Sign explaining Naver Reservations and accepted payment methods

You can also make a reservation in advance via Naver! Especially during busy times like lunch hour, it's worth checking and booking ahead. Zero Pay and Naver Pay both work, and what made me happiest was that Sikkwondaejang (meal voucher app) is accepted! Office workers who use Sikkwondaejang, definitely keep this place in mind ㅠㅠ

Parking, restrooms, Wi-Fi and the review event at Salering

Sign for 1 hour of free parking for dining customers

Dining customers apparently get 1 hour of free parking right in front of the store. If you're driving over, this is worth keeping in mind, haha.

Restroom location and Wi-Fi QR code sign

The restroom is inside the building, and Wi-Fi connects instantly by scanning a QR code. The basic amenities you'd need while eating were all well set up, haha.

They're also running a review event !! Write a Naver Place review and get a free iced Americano ☕️. Poke plus a free iced Americano — isn't that the perfect office lunch combo, haha. Prepaying in advance also apparently earns you extra points, so if you're a regular poke or salad eater, it's worth checking out those perks too 👍

Preference poll board: poke or salad

The preference poll board was cute too ㅋㅋㅋ poke or salad.. I vote poke! Please note the country of origin info, haha.

Verdict: eating alone at Salering near Gyodae Station

💡 A really great spot when you need to eat solo near Gyodae! The seafood all-in-one poke came loaded with salmon, shrimp, scallops, and more — I ate until genuinely full, haha. Best of all, calories are labeled on every menu item, which made choosing easy while dieting, and there were plenty of solo seats too, great for going alone!!

From kiosk ordering to self-return, the whole structure is built for eating solo and quickly, which explains why Gyodae office workers keep coming back for lunch. If you're looking for a solo-friendly poke or salad spot near Gyodae Station, this one's worth a visit. Next time I'll try a different combination, haha.
