DMC Station pizzeria: margherita and cream pasta at Pizzeria Snug
In short
Pizzeria Snug is a Neapolitan wood-fired pizza restaurant in Sangam-dong, Mapo, Seoul, a short walk from Digital Media City Station. A pizza-loving couple who honeymooned in Naples ordered the margherita, the Snug pepperoni (chorizo) and mushroom cream pasta, taking one pizza each. Chewy dough, the ranch and salsa sauces and the paccheri cream pasta were good enough that they plan to come back.

My husband and I are total Neapolitan pizza nerds. We even went to Naples for our honeymoon just to eat pizza! Missing that flavor, we found Pizzeria Snug — we'd tried it before and loved it, saved it for later, and this time we went back for another taste of Naples right here in Seoul. This is our go-to Neapolitan pizza spot, and I wanted to share it with you all.

Where is Pizzeria Snug? A walk from Digital Media City Station
It's an easy walk from Digital Media City Station, and the red exterior really stands out. This is the spot near DMC Station for Neapolitan wood-fired pizza.

A quick peek at the menu board — so many delicious-looking options...

What are the interior and self bar like at Pizzeria Snug?
Pizzeria Snug has a really lovely interior, so there were lots of couples on dates and plenty of people enjoying pizza and beer too. It's a warm, cozy space that keeps drawing me back.

A frame on the wall that gives off real 'good restaurant' energy...

The weather's been nice lately so they had the windows open, and that autumn breeze felt so good. There are outdoor tables too, so eating outside would be great. The food is delicious, but it's really the comfort of the space, the atmosphere, and the friendly staff and service that keep bringing me back.

The self bar has such a clean, pleasant feel too — cool lemon water, house-made pickles, olive oil, and more. Always kept spotless, which makes me very happy.
What we ordered: margherita, Snug pepperoni and mushroom cream pasta
You can browse the menu and order right from the tablet at your table. Seriously, so many delicious-looking items — plenty of wood-fired pizza varieties, and pasta too. I ordered margherita, Snug Pepperoni (chorizo), and mushroom cream pasta. My husband and I tend to do one pizza per person haha. With the baby in my belly, that makes three of us, so three dishes... hahaha.

Ready to go: the three complimentary sauces, plus pickles and pepperoncino from the self bar. A combo that pairs so well with pizza, I was already excited. My husband and I usually just add olive oil when eating Neapolitan pizza, but Pizzeria Snug's ranch and salsa sauces were so good we kept dipping haha.

Margherita: how is the Neapolitan wood-fired dough?
The margherita came out quickly. The chewy, thin pizza dough with tomato sauce that spreads moistly in your mouth, plus flavorful cheese, basil, and olive oil — the combination is just perfect!

The slightly charred crust edges are part of the charm of wood-fired pizza too~ Fresh out of the oven, piping hot, is when it tastes best.

I ate the first slice pure, then added olive oil and pepperoncino to the second slice — yum! Is this Italy...? This is seriously top-tier Neapolitan pizza.

Dip the crust end in the sauce and you can enjoy every last bite~

Snug pepperoni pizza with chorizo
This was my first time trying the Snug Pepperoni (chorizo). With salty ham and olives added, it was bold and punchy — instantly made me think of beer!! The chewy dough was so good, and the sauce was so tasty I kept reaching for more.

Mushroom cream pasta made with paccheri
The mushroom cream pasta came out next. I'd been craving this lately, and it did not disappoint. Thick paccheri pasta with a rich, velvety cream sauce and a mountain of fresh mushrooms on top — the visual alone was almost overwhelming.

First time trying their pasta, and I thought this place was only good for pizza — turns out the pasta is excellent too!! The balance of the rich cream sauce, evenly cooked pasta, and fresh mushrooms was so perfect, it was a genuinely happy meal. Highly recommend!!
Is Pizzeria Snug worth a visit? Final verdict
If you're looking for a great pizza and pasta restaurant in Sangam-dong, I'd recommend Pizzeria Snug near DMC Station, home to top-tier Neapolitan pizza and pasta. The staff are super friendly, and the food, service, and atmosphere all satisfy. I'm definitely going back!!
