A while back, my friend and I went to grab some good coffee and dessert at Byway Bakers Cheongsa Main Branch, which is really hot right now as a top salt bread spot in Uijeongbu.

Where is Byway Bakers Cheongsa Main Branch, and is there parking?

Byway Bakers Cheongsa Main Branch is on Cheongsa-ro 5beon-gil in Uijeongbu, a bakery any bread lover simply can't pass by — a must-stop on any bread pilgrimage. The orange-and-ivory interior caught my eye from far away, even from the entrance! It was also great for photos on the cute chairs out front. There's parking inside the building too, so driving there was easy.

Special event! Since we spent over ₩20,000, we got a free frozen financier thrown in! Thanks to the owner's generosity, we walked away feeling great about it.

What Byway Bakers keeps on its display shelves

As soon as we walked in, the place was filled with the nutty smell of fresh bread! This bakery is known for its financiers, egg tarts, and salt bread — a leading bakery in Uijeongbu. Looking at the lineup of baked goods on display, I could see exactly why it's famous as a dessert spot in Singok-dong.

The takeout order and what it cost at Byway Bakers

After much deliberation, here's what my friend and I took home!

I was only going to buy plain salt bread, but I spotted the trendy wakppu salt bread (a salt bread stuffed with cream and fruit) right next to it and grabbed one to bring home! I went with peach flavor, and it was such a hit that I'll try other flavors next time and report back.

Byway Bakers Cheongsa Main Branch's gift boxes are also nicely packed, making them a great dessert gift or cake gift option in Uijeongbu for friends and family. The clean box packaging would also go over well as a group snack or for a company event.

How the iced latte and natural vanilla latte taste

The drink sleeves had the cute orange BYWAY BAKERS logo printed on them, as always.

The iced latte had a nutty roasted coffee flavor that blended smoothly with the milk, cutting through the sweetness of the bread cleanly. The iced natural vanilla latte had a deep, not-at-all-artificial vanilla aroma that came through strong.

The moment I opened the bag, a strong mocha aroma hit me right away!

The outside is crisp with a sweet-bitter mocha cookie dough layer, while the inside is moist with a salty butter flavor spreading through. It's a total crisp-outside-soft-inside sweet-and-salty combo — I got it immediately why this place is such a famous salt bread spot in Uijeongbu.

Eating it cold really brought out the chewiness and flavor — I could see why this bakery is famous for its financiers in Uijeongbu!

The tangy fresh peach flesh and soft yogurt cream blended with the savory salt bread — every bite burst with flavor! The cream was so refreshing it's perfect as a summer dessert in Uijeongbu. I also spotted a mango yogurt wakppu salt bread in the store and definitely want to try that next time!
