Gijang outlet lunch with shrimp rosé pasta and fresh juice: Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets is a Western restaurant on the first floor of the outlet mall in Jangan-eup, Gijang, Busan. Two of us stopped in during a weekday shopping trip and used the T-order tablet to order shrimp rosé pasta, truffle mushroom pizza, and fresh-pressed orange and grapefruit juice. The rich Western dishes with tangy fresh-pressed juice made a filling lunch break in the middle of shopping.

A few days ago I went shopping at the Busan Premium Outlets. After shopping to my heart's content, I stopped for lunch at a Western restaurant in Gijang that turned out to be great — Bueokgan Restaurant at the Busan Premium Outlets. Let's get into it, come along with me haha.
Where is Bueokgan Restaurant in Gijang?
Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets is located at 1133 Jeonggwan-ro, Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, on the first floor of the outlet, unit 180. The outlet itself always has this gorgeous European, exotic vibe no matter when you go.

While shopping, you always end up debating where to eat, and this time I was looking for somewhere with a nice atmosphere and a good variety of menu options, and settled on this place. With so many domestic and international brands and a food court all together, it's a great spot to spend a whole day.

What are the seats and atmosphere like on a weekday lunch?
Walking into Bueokgan Restaurant, the space feels really spacious.

Overall it's clean but not too stiff, so it seemed fine for a family meal, and not too much for a date or a casual meal with friends either. When you hear 'restaurant inside an outlet,' you tend to picture that busy mall crowd first, but since it was a weekday, we could enjoy a relatively calm meal. The tables came in several different arrangements, so it looked good for groups of any size, and above all, it was a comfortable spot to take a break from shopping.

There were antique décor pieces scattered here and there, which were fun to look at too.

How do you order at Bueokgan?
You order through the T-order tablet at each table.

The menu we picked that day was
- Shrimp rosé pasta
- Truffle mushroom pizza
- Fresh-pressed orange juice
- Fresh-pressed grapefruit juice

The drinks came out first. The colors were really pretty. The combination of grapefruit and orange looked lovely.

The food we ordered came out quickly. Even though there were just two of us, having a pasta plus a pizza made for a pretty hearty spread.

How does the shrimp rosé pasta taste?
I started with Bueokgan's shrimp rosé pasta, and the shrimp blended nicely with the smooth rosé sauce, easy to enjoy without feeling heavy. The sauce coated the noodles well, so each bite had this thick yet soft texture that I liked, and the shrimp added a nice savory depth.

I personally love cream-based sauces, so this was satisfying. I thought it'd be a great pick if you're craving pasta mid-shopping at the outlet. The plump shrimp meat was also really fresh and tasty.

Craving it again just writing this at night, ugh.
Does the truffle mushroom pizza go well with the pasta?
And then the truffle mushroom pizza we ordered together.

You could subtly taste the mushroom and the distinctive truffle aroma, which paired well with the pasta. The crust wasn't too thick, so it was easy to eat several slices, and the nutty flavor made a good combo alternating bites with the pasta.

If you love truffle aroma especially, you have to try this. I've been really into truffle lately and order truffle dishes wherever I go, and today was another success. The table also looked so much more full and satisfying with the pizza added alongside the pasta.

Are the fresh-pressed orange and grapefruit juices worth adding?
Since the food overall had a rich, savory flavor, pairing it with a refreshing drink made everything feel cleaner in the mouth. The orange was sweet and tangy, and the grapefruit had that distinctive bitter edge, so it was nice to pick based on preference. Choosing fruit juice over soda went really well with the meal.
Is Bueokgan a good stop on a day at the Gijang outlet?
If you're wondering where to go on a weekend in Busan, driving out to Gijang to explore the outlet is a solid option. You can shop, eat well, and take a leisurely stroll around, making for a relaxed day. This place especially has a lot of great spots for photos thanks to the exotic buildings and street scenery, so it's worth visiting even for a date, not just for shopping.
If you're looking for somewhere in Gijang to handle both shopping and a good meal, definitely stop by Bueokgan Restaurant at the Busan Premium Outlets, a great Western restaurant in Gijang. That's it for this food spot report from Gogojuni.
