Okgil-dong steamed duck lunch set for 3, Bucheon: Keunsawi Ori Jip

In short

Keunsawi Ori Jip Bucheon Okgil Main Branch is a duck restaurant in the Okgil-dong area of Bucheon, Gyeonggi, serving steamed duck and perilla-seed chicken as one shared table. The writer visited with their parents and ordered the lunch special Hearty Set for 3 (44,700 won), which brought steamed duck (ori pyeonbaekjjim), acorn jelly pancake and salad, a tasting portion of perilla-seed chicken, plus kalguksu noodles and fried rice, with gondre-and-shiitake rice and white rice waiting at the self-serve bar. I went out for a good meal with my parents! This time we visited Keunsawi Ori Jip Bucheon Okgil Main Branch. My parents love Korean food, and after eating they said the set was really well put together, which made me quietly proud haha. Especially being able to eat everything from duck meat to steamed duck, kalguksu noodles, and fried rice in one sitting made it super satisfying! Let's get into the review—

Is parking easy here?

I drove there, and there was a parking lot right in front of the restaurant, so parking was really easy. When you're going to eat with your parents, taste matters but so does how easy parking is! Here you can park right in front, so bringing a car wasn't a hassle at all :)

What is the restaurant like inside?

The interior was decorated overall in wood tones, giving off a warm and soft atmosphere. I visited with my parents, and the overall relaxed vibe made it good for a family meal out too. If you're looking for a restaurant in Okgil-dong, Bucheon to take your parents to, I think you'll like this comfortable atmosphere too 😀

What comes in the 44,700 won Hearty Set for 3

The lunch special hearty set table spread

What we ordered was the [Lunch Special] Hearty Set for 3 for ₩44,700, plus a drink for ₩2,000.

Looking at the menu, there was a variety of set menus prepared, and since we visited during lunch hours we tried the lunch special hearty set! The hearty set is made up of duck steam + acorn jelly pancake & salad + tasting-size perilla chicken, and for this price, isn't that a pretty great lineup? After eating it, I really wanted to say the lunch special is a strong recommendation haha.

There are also à la carte items, so you can pick and choose what you want, and among the dinner menus there's also a harmony set that includes duck and vegetable stew. Next time I want to come for dinner and try that harmony set too!

What is on the self-serve bar?

They have a self-serve bar here with everything from basic side dishes to vegetables, rice, and sauces, so you can conveniently take as much as you need. The self-serve bar was also kept clean, which I liked.

Self-serve bar with side dishes and rice

In particular, you can get more rice as much as you want, and there were two kinds prepared — gondre mushroom rice and white rice — so you could pick based on your preference. I ate the gondre mushroom rice with the seasoning sauce, and it was seriously delicious!! haha

And the basic side dish, mother-in-law's geotjeori (fresh cabbage kimchi), was really delicious. It went well with the gondre rice, and also paired nicely with the duck meat and the duck steam, so I went back for more a few times lol.

Steamed duck, the main dish that arrives with a timer

Duck steam served with a timer

Finally, the main dish — duck steam (ori pyeonbaekjjim)! When you order the duck steam, they also give you a timer so you can time the steaming just right. Thanks to that, the wait time was clear too, which I liked.

Opening up the steamer, it was packed with vegetables and the meat looked fresh, which raised my expectations!

The meat was really delicious — good on its own, but even better wrapped in radish pickle or perilla leaves. Wrapping it with vegetables too added a crunchy texture that kept me reaching for more haha. The duck's distinct flavor blended really well with the vegetables, and it was really nice to eat with my parents.

The tasting portion of perilla-seed chicken: is it really just a taste?

A bowl of tasting-size perilla chicken

And then the cutely-named tasting-size perilla chicken! But I was surprised at how substantial the chicken portion was — I had to wonder if this was really just a 'taste' lol.

Perilla chicken with a large chicken leg

The chicken leg in particular was really big! The meat was so tender, and the broth with perilla seeds was really rich, so I enjoyed the broth too. I thought 'tasting-size' meant just a small bite, but it turned out to be a proper full dish, which was satisfying haha.

Acorn jelly pancake and salad, a surprisingly perfect pair

The acorn jelly pancake was a bit unique too. It came topped with salad right on top of the acorn jelly pancake! At first I wondered if this combo would work, but after tasting it, it really goes well together haha. The heaviness of the acorn jelly pancake combined with the freshness of the salad created better harmony than I expected. Thanks to that, I got to try something a little different :)

Kalguksu noodles, then fried rice: a meal that keeps going

Pot with kalguksu noodles and mushrooms cooking in broth

But this wasn't the end!!

We boiled kalguksu noodles and mushrooms in the broth — wow, no matter how much you eat, the set just doesn't end lol. I was already pretty full, but once the kalguksu came out, there was room for more.

Kalguksu noodles being boiled
Porridge made from rice added to the leftover broth

And fried rice had come out from the start too, so we put rice into the remaining broth and made it into a porridge. Now it's really the end....! It really is that Korean instinct that a meal isn't truly over until it ends with rice lol. But this was seriously delicious too ㅠㅠ Eating everything from duck steam to perilla chicken, acorn jelly pancake, kalguksu, and porridge felt like a truly hearty, complete meal.

What do you get after the meal?

Dessert corner with coffee, plum tea, and omija tea

After finishing the meal, we had dessert too~ The restaurant had coffee, plum tea, and omija (schisandra berry) tea available, so we could cleanly finish off the meal. Having dessert on top of everything made the meal feel completely wrapped up haha.

How did it work as a family lunch with my parents?

This time I visited with my parents, and since they love Korean food, they said the set was really well put together, which made me really proud :) Being able to enjoy such a wide variety of dishes generously in one set — from duck meat to duck steam, perilla chicken, acorn jelly pancake, kalguksu, and fried rice — was extremely satisfying for me too!

Especially if you're visiting for lunch, I'd like to recommend the lunch special hearty set, which lets you eat a full, well-rounded meal without too much of a price burden. Parking is easy and the atmosphere is comfortable, so it could be a good spot when looking for a family meal place with your parents. If you want to properly enjoy duck meat at a restaurant in Okgil-dong, Bucheon, I'd recommend Keunsawi Ori Jip Bucheon Okgil Main Branch — I was so satisfied that I want to recommend it~! 🦆💛
