Shabu shabu, kalguksu and fried rice for ₩11,000 a person — this is Yunujae Munhyeon Shabu Kalguksu.

Back again — and again, and again! — to my favorite local waitlist spot in Munhyeon-dong, Yunujae Munhyeon Shabu Kalguksu 💛 This time I went with my kid and got the mild broth, and it was still incredibly good. For ₩11,000 a person you can stuff yourself with shabu shabu, kalguksu and fried rice. Here's the review :)
✔️ 26 Suyeong-ro, Nam-gu, Busan, South Korea (Daerim Munhyeon City Plaza) / ⏰ Daily 11:00–20:50 (last order 20:00) / 🚙 2 hours of parking support in the building's basement lot
Where is Yunujae Munhyeon Shabu Kalguksu, and where do you park?
Yunujae Munhyeon Shabu Kalguksu sits right on the main road near the ramp into Munhyeon-dong, inside the Daerim Munhyeon City Plaza building 🏢 It's a 4-minute walk from Jigegol Station and 7 minutes from Munhyeon Station — great access‼️

If you use the building's basement lot you get 2 hours of parking support. Be sure to tell them your plate number on the way out to get it‼️
I got there just past 6pm and there was already a line...🙊 Just realized — why did I write my name down as number 12 instead of 11? That cost me extra waiting time haha. Ended up waiting more than 30 minutes total. Still, waiting indoors made it a lot more comfortable‼️
Inside Yunujae: the dining room and the house-made noodles
Walk into Yunujae Munhyeon Shabu Kalguksu and you'll spot sacks of flour stacked by the entrance 👀👀 This place makes its own kalguksu (hand-cut noodles) in house 💛 Springy, chewy noodles are the specialty here ><

I've been here a few times now and it's always this packed. Once you try it, you keep coming back — that's the taste and the price for you. Tables are spacious, there are baby chairs, and parking is easy, so lots of families come here for a meal out. The menu itself is one that kids and grandparents alike can enjoy without complaint. Being able to get a full course for the price of a bowl of gukbap is really the biggest strength here ✨✨

Broth and kimchi are self-serve. The kimchi here is seriously good too — the owner makes it fresh every day using a recipe passed down from a kimchi master in Mokpo, and it's a perfect match for the kalguksu.

On the table there's a sand timer, hair ties and seasoning sauce. I'm guessing it means simmer for 5 minutes?!
One nice touch — they sterilize your spoon and chopsticks in a cup of hot water for you. Not many places do that 🙏🙏
The menu and our order: mild white broth for three

🎗 Ordered 🎗 White broth, mild, 3 servings
I always order the spicy one, but this time, with my kid along, I tried the white broth for the first time. I usually love the fiery Deungchon-style shabu, so at first I was a little disappointed. But wow! The white broth was seriously delicious too 👏👏 It's savory and rich enough that I didn't miss the spice at all.
With white and red broth, plus adjustable spice levels for each, it's really great to bring kids along. And with sirloin, vegetables, mushrooms, kalguksu and fried rice all included, it's an easy way to feed a child too 👍👍

They said leaving a receipt review gets you a coupon for one serving of sirloin. Everyone should definitely do the review event‼️ Read the 'how to eat it best' guide before you dig in! (Though I still somehow forgot to put the meat in all at once after reading it..)

How did the mild white broth taste with a child at the table?
The white broth, mild, 3 servings arrived‼️ It's a clean, light broth with a standout umami from South Sea anchovies and Wando kelp. The set comes with shabu shabu, sirloin, kalguksu and fried rice.

Mushrooms and minari (water dropwort) were piled up like a mountain ⛰️⛰️ Looked incredibly fresh and lively 🙊 With three bundles of house-made kalguksu plus fried rice on top, I wondered if we could finish it all — but we did 😁😉
The meat looked great too, and there was plenty of it. They say they only use beef that hasn't been sitting around long since slaughter, and it definitely showed‼️‼️

As I stirred the pot, I noticed just how much minari and mushroom was actually packed in there. As it boils, the minari aroma spreads everywhere — genuinely rich stuff 💛
Drop the meat in and let it simmer‼️ It's not overly seasoned but has real depth, and the longer it cooks, the more the meat flavor seeps into the broth — so good. Even though it's a clear broth, it still gives you that hangover-curing feeling, you know?! The deep umami really stands out 🙏🙏 Not exaggerating, the broth is genuinely delicious....⭐️ Honestly there's a sad side effect of eating this shabu — you can never go back to shabu shabu buffets ㅜㅜ That's how good this broth is.....✨️✨️

Eat the meat, mushrooms and minari together, all soaked in that rich broth. The tender meat plus fragrant minari makes for a clean bite. Even better dipped in sauce‼️‼️ It's a mix of soy sauce and wasabi sauce to taste, adding a sweet-salty note that's really good 👍 My son loved dipping his bites in it too haha
Finishing with house-made kalguksu and egg fried rice
Once you've eaten your fill, it's time to add the kalguksu ✨✨ This place's noodles are house-made and so good ㅜㅜ❤️❤️❤️ Make sure you eat plenty 🐷🐷
The outside is soft while the inside stays chewy — really delicious. The noodles soak up the broth so the seasoning ends up just right. Look how rich the broth gets ❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛 Once the noodles go in, the broth thickens up and gets even tastier.
Eaten with the kimchi, this alone could be sold as its own dish‼️ Plain kalguksu these days costs ₩8,000 elsewhere, so I was reminded all over again just how great the value is here 👍

And it's not over yet....‼️‼️‼️‼️ You have to have the fried rice too........ ⭐️ Definitely add the egg⭐️ It was my first time adding egg, and it made the whole thing that much more delicious with the extra nuttiness 🙊 ₩600 well spent 💯💯💯 Top it with kimchi for a solid bite 😉

Is Yunujae worth it for a family dinner in Busan?
Parking is easy, the prices are affordable, and most importantly, it's just really, really good ㅠㅠㅠㅠ I've lost count of how many times I've been here, and I'll keep coming back. It's not a heavy price tag either, so give it a try‼️ Recommended 🙏🙏
