Songdo kids' magic show in a 30-seat theater: Mirinae Magic Troupe

Was trying to figure out what to do with my kid this weekend and ended up at Miraenae Magic Troupe (미리내마술극단) Songdo location.

It's inside Songdo Triple Street, so it was easy to combine with a meal or some shopping before or after the show. But the best part was that it's a small theater with the stage right up close to the seats, so watching magic happen right in front of you felt so lively and fun. If you're looking for a family show in Songdo, I'd recommend this place — so here's my review :)

Where is Mirinae Magic Troupe Songdo? 3rd floor, Building D, Triple Street

Miraenae Magic Troupe Songdo is located on the 3rd floor of Building D at Songdo Triple Street in Incheon. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, then the escalator up to the 3rd floor, turn right, and look for the pink door. It can be a bit confusing the first time, so just remember 'Building D, 3rd floor' when you're heading there.

Right in front of the venue there's signage for the kids' magic show, so you can immediately confirm you're in the right place.

Inside there's a photo zone set up,

and also an unmanned snack bar with simple snacks and drinks. Prices were reasonable, and apparently everything beyond cost goes to the Community Chest of Korea. You pay via self bank transfer, and it seemed like a good spot for a quick bite while waiting for the show to start.

How big is the theater? About 30 seats

Unlike a big performance hall, the stage is right in front of you, so kids can watch every move the magician makes up close. Seating is first-come first-served, so if you want to sit up front, arriving a bit early helps. Doors open about 10 minutes before the show starts.

Throughout the show there were quite a few segments where kids got to join in the magic themselves, which made for really high satisfaction.

Once the show started, the kids' eyes were glued to the stage right away. It went from balloon magic to tricks involving doves, to ring performances — a lot of variety.

In photos the stage might look small, but that's actually the strength of Miraenae Magic Troupe. The magician is right there, interacting with the kids as the show goes, so it feels way more alive than a show you just watch from a distance.

Do children get bored? The tricks keep changing

From tricks with large linking rings to ones using fabric and props, the tricks kept coming one after another.

The magician mixed in funny lines throughout and got the kids cheering along, so the atmosphere was great. Even watching right up close, there were plenty of moments where I thought 'wait, how is that even possible?'

I thought this would only be fun for the kids, but the parents ended up watching just as intently.

A fire performance showed up too, which pumped up the atmosphere even more.

The kids' magic show runs weekends at 11:00 / 14:00 / 16:00 and weekdays at 11:00 / 14:00. Ticket prices are ₩23,000 for kids and ₩18,000 for guardians, with a ₩33,000 option that includes a magic kit. Is the Songdo magic show worth it? Final verdict

If you're looking for something to do indoors with your kid in Songdo, this seems like a good option. Rather than a huge, flashy performance hall, I liked that this was a small-theater family show in Songdo where you're right up close and cheering along together. It's also inside Triple Street so accessibility is good, and parking assistance is available, which made it convenient as a family outing. If you're looking for a different kind of Songdo show with your kid, especially a kids' magic show, Miraenae Magic Troupe Songdo is worth checking out.
