Songdo teppanyaki restaurant with a nickname okonomiyaki: Jojo Triple
In short
Jojo Triple Street Branch is a Japanese teppanyaki restaurant on the 1st floor of Building C at Triple Street in Songdo, Incheon. Arriving on a Friday at 6:20pm meant 4 groups ahead and about a 15-minute wait, and the signature set for two (yakisoba, okonomiyaki, donpeiyaki) arrived with the nickname left at ordering written on top of the okonomiyaki. Everything sits on the hot griddle so it stays warm to the last bite, making Jojo worth a stop in Songdo when you want something different.

There are honestly so many places to eat at Triple Street in Songdo. Every time I go I end up wondering, what should I eat today? Haha. This time I wanted something a bit different from my usual go-tos, so I headed to Jojo Triple Street Branch, where you can get Japanese-style teppanyaki :)

You can enjoy everything from okonomiyaki to yakisoba to donpeiyaki in one visit, so if you're into Japanese food, this is a Triple Street restaurant worth keeping an eye on.
Where is Jojo Triple Street Branch? 1st floor, Building C
Jojo is located on the 1st floor of Building C at Triple Street. It's an easy walk over if you're shopping at Songhyeona, and the flow works well if you're browsing around Triple Street before eating too.

I especially love Triple Street at night. Once the lights come on and those paper decorations — I guess that's what they are — flutter in the wind, my heart flutters right along with them haha.

How long is the wait at Jojo on a Friday at 6:20pm?
We showed up around 6:20pm on a Friday and there were about 4 teams waiting! It really does seem to be one of the hottest restaurants at Triple Street right now!
There was no line out front, so I thought we'd just walk right in, but it turned out everyone had put their name down for the wait list and was timing their arrival!

That feels like Jojo Songdo Triple Street's biggest perk. At most places you have to stand around waiting in front, but here you put your name down and go explore, so there's zero boredom while you wait!!!
Inside Jojo: a Japanese izakaya-style interior

Walking in, the warm wood-toned interior and a griddle built into every table made a strong impression. It's a different vibe from your typical restaurant, so it seemed like a nice spot for a date too.

There were baskets under the tables to store your belongings — I really appreciate little touches like that!!
What to order from the Jojo menu

We waited about 15 minutes before getting in!! Jojo had more menu variety than I expected. From the signature okonomiyaki to yakisoba, monjayaki, donpeiyaki — you can try a whole range of Japanese-style teppan dishes.

You can order items individually, but if it's your first visit, the set menus that let you try several dishes at once looked good too. We went with the signature set for two!

The dish I was most looking forward to at Jojo was, of course, the okonomiyaki. Once it's cooked in the kitchen, they place it right on the griddle built into your table.

That turned out to be nicer than I expected — the food stayed warm all the way through instead of cooling off while we ate.

Looking at the menu, this is clearly a combo that calls for beer... and once again I regretted driving haha.
The signature set for two at Jojo, starting with yakisoba

The first thing to arrive was the yakisoba. It had a slight kick of spice that cut through the richness, which I liked!! The chewy noodles were well coated in sauce, with shrimp and vegetables mixed in as toppings, and the more I ate, the more I kept thinking... this really calls for beer... haha.

Since it sat on the griddle the whole time, it stayed warm right to the last bite!
It might be a touch spicy to share with kids, but for me as an adult it was really great. My sister loved how balanced the set was too!

Golden and crisp on the outside, moist inside, with cabbage and other ingredients mixed throughout — it was more filling than I expected!

I'd been curious why they asked for a nickname when we ordered, and it turned out they write it right on top of the okonomiyaki. It gave me this feeling of, this dish was made just for me haha.
With that signature sweet-and-savory sauce on top, it was exactly the Japanese teppanyaki flavor I'd been picturing! Having it after a while made it taste even better haha.

My sister, who came with me, topped hers with fire sauce! I'm a total lightweight with spice, so I passed! Haha.
Donpeiyaki, the egg-wrapped dish in the set

Donpeiyaki is a Japanese-style rolled omelet with pork tucked inside the egg. The soft egg and pork come together with the sauce on top, and my chopsticks kept going back for more more than I expected.
Eating it with my sister, we actually debated ordering an extra one — it was that good!!

Eating through it all, I once again regretted driving haha. Still, we enjoyed it nicely with a cold zero-sugar cola!
Parking tip for a Jojo visit at Triple Street 🚗
Triple Street, where Jojo is located, offers 5 hours of free parking regardless of weekday or weekend. Songhyeona right next door is free on weekdays, but on weekends and holidays free parking time depends on your purchase amount, so keep that in mind :) If you're planning to eat at Jojo and also browse Songhyeona like we did, parking at Triple Street would probably be the more convenient choice!
If you're near Songhyeona looking for a good spot at Songdo Triple Street, or craving something a little different, it's worth stopping by :) Next time I'll leave the car at home and properly enjoy teppanyaki with a draft beer haha.
