Songdo outlet café with an Excellent hygiene grade: Wunder Coffee Bar

While shopping at Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo, a craving for something sweet led me to Wunder Coffee Bar. It's inside the outlet, so it's easy to stop by mid-shop, and besides coffee there were plenty of ice cream options too. This time I tried the dwaejibar (Korean pork-shaped popsicle) style ice cream that caught my eye visually.

Where is Wunder Coffee Bar? Basement 1 FOOD SQUARE at Songdo outlet

Wunder Coffee Bar sits inside the basement 1 FOOD SQUARE of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo. Just head down to B1 while shopping and walk into the food court to find it.

Once inside FOOD SQUARE, the WUNDER COFFEE BAR sign is easy to spot. It made a convenient stop right along the shopping route at the outlet.

Inside the open-counter Wunder Coffee Bar

Wunder Coffee Bar is an open-plan shop set inside the food court. The mix of wood and black in the interior gives it a clean, calm feel overall. You can see the whole ordering area at a glance.

From the front you can see both the menu and the preparation area. I could watch the staff making drinks and desserts right there.

The coffee lineup was more varied than expected. There's Americano, latte variations, and non-coffee drinks, along with Wunder Coffee Bar's own signature menu. It looked like a good spot to grab a coffee while at the Songdo Hyundai Outlet.

The coffee beans were introduced separately too. The two beans shown in the photo are NOCHE and MARON. You can pick based on your taste, and next to them were waffle cones ready for the soft serve.

Signature menu and prices

I checked out the signature items too. The Wunder Gato at 7,500 won and Wunder Coffee at 6,800 won stood out. The Wunder Gato in particular pairs ice cream with coffee together, so I'd like to try it next time.

The menu isn't limited to coffee alone — there's a decent range of ice cream and dessert options too.

And on one side of the shop there was a restaurant hygiene grade Excellent sign. Seeing that made me feel a bit more at ease.

The brown cup with the Wunder Coffee Bar logo matched the shop's vibe well. With the coffee machine and prep space open to view, everything looked cleanly managed overall.

How the 6,800 won dwaejibar ice cream tasted

Finally, the dwaejibar ice cream I ordered, 6,800 won. It's soft serve topped generously with red strawberry sauce and choco crunch. At first glance it really brings to mind the classic dwaejibar popsicle we all know.

With red strawberry sauce and black choco crunch on white soft serve, the color contrast was pretty too. The portion was bigger than I expected.

The soft, smooth soft serve paired well with the sweet-tart strawberry sauce. Add the crunchy choco crunch on top and the texture stayed interesting too.

The choco crunch in particular was piled on quite generously. Scooping up a big bite with the crunch mixed in was even better than the ice cream alone. A perfect pick when you're low on sugar mid-shop.

Cold, soft ice cream, sweet-tart strawberry sauce, and crunchy choco crunch — it felt like enjoying the familiar dwaejibar flavor in soft serve form. Wunder Coffee Bar was a nice place to rest for a bit during shopping. Good for a coffee, and good when a sweet dessert is calling too.

Verdict: is Wunder Coffee Bar a good Songdo outlet café?

I ended up at Wunder Coffee Bar while looking for a café at the outlet. Being on basement 1 of the outlet is a plus, easy to fit into a shopping route. The lineup ran from coffee to ice cream, and the dwaejibar ice cream I had was satisfying — good looks and plenty sweet.

With the strawberry sauce and choco crunch combo, the ice cream seems like it would work well with kids too. If you're looking for a café at Songdo Hyundai Outlet or a café in Songdo in general, it's a solid casual stop while shopping. Next time I'll have to try the signature coffee too.
