Sujebi dinner 7 minutes from Yeonsan Station, Busan: Sinseon Myeonga
In short
Sinseon Myeonga is a Korean rice-and-noodle restaurant in Yeonsan-dong, Yeonje-gu, Busan, serving house-made kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) and hand-torn sujebi (dough flake soup). At the first dinner seating the order was sujebi at 7,500 won, octopus bibimbap at 10,000 won and a small bossam at 23,000 won, with sundae (blood sausage) and fresh geotjeori kimchi on the side and sikhye and yakgwa to finish. I went to Sinseon Myeonga in Yeonsan-dong, Busan, famous for its handmade kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) and sujebi (hand-torn dough soup). Here's my honest review after trying the octopus bibimbap made with a blend of Icheon royal rice, plus the bossam (boiled pork wraps).
How to find Sinseon Myeonga: 7 minutes from Yeonsan Station, plus parking
Sinseon Myeonga is at 26 Jungang-daero 1150beon-gil, Yeonje-gu, Busan, about a 7-minute walk from Exit 14 of Yeonsan Station. There's also a separate parking lot behind the building, which made it easy to get there by car.

Just a heads up — you need to ask the owner to open the parking lot for you, so keep that in mind before you visit ✨
Sinseon Myeonga at the first dinner seating: space and baby chairs
I visited in the evening and we were the first ones there for that seating, but customers kept streaming in after us. The interior was spacious and had its own restroom, which was nice. And most importantly, they have baby chairs too 👶🏻‼️

Sinseon Myeonga, a Korean restaurant in Yeonsan-dong, says its bibimbap dishes use royal rice from Icheon — there's a sign on the wall confirming it, which made me trust the place even more.
Sinseon Myeonga's menu and the three dishes ordered
Sinseon Myeonga has a wide menu: richly simmered kalguksu, cold kalguksu, bibim kalguksu, perilla oil kalguksu, hand-torn sujebi, bulgogi bibimbap, tuna bibimbap, octopus bibimbap, Western-style pork cutlet, bossam, steamed dumplings, and seafood-chive pancake. There are also set menu options, so it'd be a solid choice for a hearty lunch in Yeonsan-dong too.
Since I came in the evening starving, I ordered three dishes: octopus bibimbap, sujebi, and a small bossam ✔️

FYI, you can get 6 free steamed dumplings if you leave a Naver receipt review!!! I was too full so I skipped it...🐖
Free sundae (blood sausage) and fresh geotjeori kimchi
At Sinseon Myeonga, sundae (Korean blood sausage) came out right after we ordered. I'm a sundae lover, so getting it as a standard freebie made me really happy. It was chapssal sundae (glutinous rice sundae), so it was extra chewy and delicious 😋

For a good kalguksu or sujebi place, the kimchi really matters, right? This was a clean, tasty geotjeori (freshly made kimchi) that paired well with both the noodle soup and the sujebi.
Prices and the full table: sujebi, octopus bibimbap, small bossam

- Bossam (small) ₩23,000
- Sujebi ₩7,500
- Octopus bibimbap ₩10,000
I was going to just order kalguksu and a small taste of bossam, but I wanted to eat a proper portion of bossam so I went with the small size. Everything arrived beautifully arranged as a full spread, which put me in a good mood before I even took a bite.

Octopus bibimbap with Icheon royal rice, sauce served on the side
The octopus bibimbap comes with the seasoning sauce served separately, so you can mix it to your taste — I scraped up all the sauce and mixed it thoroughly.

The octopus pieces were substantial with a nice smoky char, and the generous vegetables gave it a crisp texture — the sujebi was tasty too, but honestly, I really enjoyed the octopus bibimbap most 🥹
What hand-torn sujebi tastes like at Sinseon Myeonga

Since this isn't machine-made sujebi but hand-torn, there's a charm to the uneven sizes and thickness — you know handmade always tastes better, right? The texture is definitely different... soft and chewy at once, so good.

Adding a bit of the minced seasoning that came alongside made it spicy and hearty — really nice. The weather's getting cooler these days, so this kind of hot soup dish really hit the spot.
Is the small bossam enough? Portion size at Sinseon Myeonga

The bossam spread comes out properly too. Even the small size had a generous portion, and the meat was boiled tender with no gamy smell — really good.

Dipping it in the garlic sauce and wrapping it with the shredded kimchi on top was absolute honey!!! Overall the portions were really generous, so I left completely full 👍🏻👍🏻
Sikhye and yakgwa to finish: would I go back to Sinseon Myeonga?
Sinseon Myeonga finished us off with sikhye (sweet rice punch) and yakgwa (honey cookie) — such a thoughtful touch from the owner.....🌟

This was my first time visiting, and the owner was friendly, the food and service were great, and the whole place felt clean and well-run — I'd recommend Sinseon Myeonga as a go-to restaurant in Yeonsan-dong, Busan. 100% would return 👍🏻 I'll definitely stop by again next time I'm craving hot kalguksu or sujebi.
