Can you dine while looking at Songdo Beach?
Wanting to eat with an ocean view, I went to Plan A Restaurant (플랜에이레스토랑) in Songdo, Pohang, with my dog. It overlooks Songdo Beach at a glance, so it was nice to spend time looking out at the sea.

I planned a day trip around Yeongildae and Songdo Beach, and I was pleased that I could eat while looking at the sea with my dog.

Rain showers were forecast for the afternoon on the day I visited, but thankfully it did not rain, so I could see the sea and sky. Songdo Beach holds memories of visiting with my nieces and nephews, which made the scenery feel even more welcome.

There was a varied selection of meals, making it a good place to come for a meal with a dog.

The restaurant is on the fourth floor of the building. I could see Songdo Beach through the floor-to-ceiling windows from every seat, and the interior was clean and charmingly decorated.

Was it easy to enter with a pet stroller?
Dogs are allowed indoors, so I ate with mine. My dog was tired after spending time at Yeongildae earlier, but the building has an elevator, so I could comfortably take the stroller up to the fourth floor.

What were the prices and portions like for the three dishes?
I ordered the mushroom black sesame salad, chop steak, and spicy broth shrimp pasta. I remember the total coming to about ₩50,000. I was surprised by the large portions when the food arrived, and having a generous meal of all three dishes made the price feel reasonable.

What did the mushroom black sesame salad taste like?
The vegetables were fresh, and the mushrooms paired better than I expected with the nutty black sesame sauce. Even my friend, who does not usually like vegetables, said it was delicious and ate some with me. The portion was generous enough to share.

How was the chop steak served?
The chop steak my friend chose had large pieces of meat and vegetables, with fries and salad served alongside. It was a generous plate, and I especially liked the sauce.

I was glad that I could have such a satisfying meal at a place that welcomes dogs.

How spicy was the spicy broth shrimp pasta?
The spicy broth shrimp pasta had a refreshing, pleasantly spicy broth that suited my taste. It also had plenty of shrimp. I thought it would be a good choice if you do not like rich pasta or want something different from familiar tomato pasta.
