Suwon restaurant with medium-rare steak and roomy seating: Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot

On lovely-weather days like these, lots of you go on dates in Haenggung-dong, strolling its cute, pretty little alleyways, right? Haenggung-dong has so many gorgeous cafés and restaurants thanks to its distinctive vibe, but the interiors can be tiny—so you may have felt a little cramped when visiting on weekends or with a group!

Today, I found a total gem 💎 in Haenggung-dong, where tightly packed little shops are everywhere: a rare place with an open, wonderfully spacious feel and even the upscale atmosphere of a hotel lounge >_<

Heading to Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot, which I highly recommend as a Suwon Haenggung-dong date and blind-date spot! 🎆 Let’s go 🍷🍝

The moment I opened the door, I could feel the upscale 💡 lighting... temperature... humidity... I just had to gasp in admiration, you know? Eek!! (Certified overreactor... my gush switch turns on whenever I go somewhere nice haha)

Everywhere was full of photo-worthy spots 😌📸 On one wall, a projector played videos alongside mood-setting music.

The atmosphere is soooo good, right? 🔫

My immediate thought was, “A blind date here would be 100% successful!” Totally won my heart! 💖

What surprised me most was the generous seating and sense of space, something hard to find in Haenggung-dong! There is group seating for larger gatherings, of course,

and 👧🏻 they even have baby chairs for guests with children! (Love the thoughtfulness!) So many atmospheric Western restaurants in Haenggung-dong are no-kids zones or feel awkward to visit with children, but Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot felt welcoming, letting you enjoy both the ambience and a meal comfortably with kids. I loved that 👏🏾

The pasta, steak, and drinks we ordered

After looking around the restaurant and studying the menu closely,

we confidently ordered all the things we wanted to eat. Let’s go!

• Classic Carbonara: ₩15,000
• Chuck Flap Steak Platter: ₩37,000 (+ Garlic Rice add-on ₩4,500)
• Signature Icy Lemon Draft Beer: ₩5,500
• Lemonade: ₩6,000

(We sure ate a lot for two people haha)

Shrimp salad piled high with plump shrimp

Before we got into the main dishes, our 🦐 shrimp salad arrived first—ordered to prevent a blood-sugar spike (haha) >,.< 🥗 Rather than the tiny cocktail shrimp you usually get in salads, it was generously topped with proper, genuinely plump shrimp?!

The shrimp were springy and bouncy 🌀 with the best bite, while savory 🧀 cheese was scattered like snow over fresh vegetables with no fishiness at all. It was the perfect dish to whet the appetite 🥗✨

Rich classic carbonara without cream

Next came the long-awaited classic carbonara that had captured my heart from the entrance! I already really love carbonara, but...

The second I took a bite, my eyes lit up... 👀

This wasn’t Korean-style carbonara made with cream, but authentic, rich carbonara: 🧀 intense cheese aroma and the savory depth of 🍳 egg yolk clinging deliciously to every strand of pasta!! (And they use extra-thick bacon here too ㅜㅜ I love it so much..)

If I start craving this carbonara again, I think I’ll come back to Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot just for this! It’s THAT insanely delicious!ㅠㅠㅠ (But weekend parking in Haenggung-dong itself is sooo difficult, so I’d probably only go on weekdays /^^ haha)

Medium-rare chuck flap steak platter with garlic rice

Next came the star of this dinner: the chuck flap steak platter 🥩🔥 The homemade sauce served alongside it was great, of course, and the grilled asparagus and other garnishes on the side paired beautifully with the meat too.

The steak arrived cooked to a perfectly easy-to-eat medium-rare, and it was so tender it practically melted in my mouth!

The garlic rice (₩4,500) we added had such a nutty flavor and went so well with the steak that I absolutely recommend adding it!!

Lemon drinks that cut through the richness

Yes... a meal just wouldn’t feel complete without a cold drink, right? Hehe

🍋 Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot’s signature icy lemon draft beer made me understand why it is the signature from the very first sip... It was cool and bursting with fresh lemon aroma, cutting right through the richness of the steak and pasta! The lemonade we ordered too had satisfying fizzy bubbles and a zingy, vivid lemon flavor. So happy with both 🍋

At Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot, we enjoyed a perfect meal—thoughtfully prepared pasta and steak, plus refreshing signature drinks—in a spacious, luxurious setting that felt like a hotel lounge!

It is just as great for blind dates and date nights as it is for a family meal with kids or a group get-together with friends!!
