I had to head over to Seolleung for work on a weekday afternoon. While looking for somewhere to eat alone, I stumbled onto this place that turned out to be absolutely delicious — Hola Poke Seolleung Branch.
I usually don't do a protein-focused diet at all and eat mostly carb-heavy meals, so I tend to force myself to eat protein like it's homework (my other half is always handing me a fistful of supplements). I'd been telling myself to grab a healthy protein meal whenever I got the chance, and it turned out Hola Poke has a menu item literally called Super Protein.

Where is Hola Poke Seolleung Branch, and what is the space like?
Hola Poke Seolleung Branch is on the 2nd floor of a building at 6-4 Seolleung-ro 86-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It's about a five-minute walk from Seolleung Station, so it was easy to duck out to during lunch.

Let's head up to the 2nd floor.

Oh my, the vibe is so cute! A white-toned interior with a simple yet sleek Hola Poke logo. The tables were also spaced out generously so it didn't feel cramped (the most important part).

The window seats were super cute too — the shadows cast when the sunlight streams in were pure aesthetic. Solo diners would really love it here.
How to order at Hola Poke Seolleung Branch and what the poke bowls cost
At Hola Poke Seolleung Branch, you grab a seat first and then order via kiosk. There was a guide posted near the entrance for first-time visitors, which I read closely. Even as a first-timer like me, it was set up well enough that I didn't get confused ordering.

- Grab a seat first, then order
- Choose a base (salad, oat brown rice, or buckwheat noodles)
- Choose a topping sauce
- Remove or add basic toppings as you like
Since it's a kiosk-ordering system, there's no need to wait in line — super convenient.

Looking at the menu screen, there was a real variety of signature poke bowls — from garlic shrimp poke to steak poke to seafood poke. Prices were roughly in the low-to-mid ₩10,000s range.

(This is apparently the order of popularity!! FYI!!)
Ingredient origin labels at Hola Poke Seolleung Branch

At places like this I always tend to check the country of origin, and everything here was labeled so thoroughly that it built even more trust. Salmon from Norway, avocado from Peru — every single ingredient carefully labeled, which I found really impressive.
Solo seats at Hola Poke: tablet holder and power outlets
Among the seats at Hola Poke Seolleung Branch, the one that was perfect for me as a solo diner was the orange solo bar table. It even had a tablet holder, so it'd be great for watching videos while eating. (Having a holder like that is such a thoughtful touch.)

There was also a window-side 2-person table, which looked perfect for opening up a laptop and getting work done. There was an outlet right next to it too, so you could sit for a long while without worrying about your battery :)
How does the Super Protein bowl with an extra egg taste?
What I ordered was the Hola Poke Super Protein bowl with one extra egg, plus a San Pellegrino grapefruit drink. Ta-da! Here's the poke bowl I received, heart racing a little. Salmon, avocado, egg, and lentils — the colors alone were gorgeous. Paired with the San Pellegrino grapefruit drink, the combo was perfect. Can't give up my sugar, ㅠㅠㅠ.

Diet meals somehow always trigger a sense of 'I deserve a reward,' but this Super Protein bowl actually felt really filling. Oh right, I added one extra egg!!! (Though it already comes packed with salmon, avocado, and more, so add extras according to your taste!)

It was seriously so good, ㅠㅠㅠ. The salmon roe popped with each bite, the avocado was creamy, and the lentils added a nutty flavor — every spoonful tasted a little different, so there was never a dull moment. With so much variety in texture, even I, who isn't a big fan of protein-focused meals, could enjoy it (kind of) like a game.
Is Hola Poke Seolleung Branch worth it? Final verdict
- Taste: a healthy meal made with fresh ingredients
- Atmosphere: sleek, café-like interior
- Accessibility: about a 5-minute walk from Seolleung Station
I'd strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet, delicious meal on their own.
