Inside Pepite: does it suit a Cheongdam date night?
Pepite is hard to walk past even from the outside. The warm terracotta tones paired with green plants give it a strong presence right in the middle of the Cheongdam-dong alley.

Step inside and the atmosphere is even more surprising!

Deep wood tones, arched windows, and a huge chandelier make it feel upscale without going overboard on formality — a space that works well both for a Cheongdam date and for a slow meal with someone special.
Book ahead and you can enjoy the meal in this pretty, independent private room.

Point the camera in any direction and it turns into a photo.

Even the restroom entrance is pretty, and the corner mirror is super stylish too :) Everywhere you look is photogenic, so I remember being busy taking pictures before the food even arrived.

Pepite runs a lunch course alongside à la carte dishes, so you can build the meal however you like. Rather than standard combos like vongole or white ragu, it's the uni pasta and dishes that lean into the personality of each ingredient that really show off Pepite's own style. Knowing that a chef with a Michelin fine-dining background adds delicate Japanese touches to the cooking also made choosing from the menu more fun.
Marinated Korean melon and prosciutto salad, 24,000 won
Pepite's marinated melon prosciutto salad is ₩24,000 and sits on the starter menu. We usually think of melon as just a summer fruit, right? Using it in a salad sounded so unusual that I had to order it.

But wow... it really grabs your attention, doesn't it?

This is a dish you eat with your eyes before your mouth. The plating with melon and prosciutto was so beautiful that I couldn't pick up my fork for a while — I just kept taking photos.

Rather than filling you up, it cleanly wakes up your palate and makes you look forward to the next dish. A plate that did its job as an appetizer very well.
How does Pepite's signature sea urchin pasta taste at 32,000 won?
The uni pasta is considered Pepite's signature dish, priced at ₩32,000. It has so many reviews that I really wanted to try it.

When they serve it, they mix the uni in with impressive skill, keeping it perfectly even. But the moment I tasted it — wow, I immediately understood why everyone orders this. If the uni is too strong, it overwhelms the whole pasta, but if it's too weak, there's no point ordering uni pasta in the first place.

There's a clear presence that says 'I'm uni!' but it doesn't push out the other ingredients. The oceanic flavor of the uni flows smoothly into the richness of the Western-style pasta — two entirely different characters that come together like an unexpectedly perfect couple.
Pairing the pasta with Pepite's house white wine
At Pepite, I also ordered a glass of house white wine to go with the food.

It's a dry style that doesn't lead with sweetness, so it carried through naturally from the melon prosciutto salad all the way to the uni pasta.

I especially loved how cleanly it finished after the distinctive flavor of the uni — honestly, I started regretting not just ordering a whole bottle.
Verdict: why choose Pepite for pasta in Cheongdam-dong

Pepite didn't feel like a restaurant that just placed food inside a pretty space — the space and the plates felt like they came from the same sensibility. For a day when you want something a bit more special than a regular pasta place, but a heavy fine-dining experience feels like too much,

if you're looking for Cheongdam-dong pasta paired with great ambience, Pepite gives you plenty of reason to choose it.
