How did I end up at Plot, the Sindang Station cocktail bar?

Plot (플롯, written P.lot) was my second stop of the night. I'd finished work out in the field, had a first round somewhere else, and then headed here. It was my first "Hipdang-dong" tour in a while! (That's the nickname for trendy Sindang-dong.) It was on my way home, and I also wanted to feel that special Sindang vibe again.

I had no reservation, but it was comfortable and pleasant, and the mood was quiet and clean, so I was really happy with it. Let me introduce this Sindang Station cocktail bar!

Plot is in Units 107 and 108 on the first floor of the building! It's a big commercial building with lots of shops, so check the location and look carefully.

It's close to Sindang Station, and there's free parking too: if you come by car, the building's parking lot is free for 2 hours. Plot also sells non-alcoholic cocktails and stays open late, so it's a great Sindang Station cocktail bar for a second round!

What's the atmosphere at Plot?

Plot is a Hipdang-dong cocktail bar and dining bar where you can enjoy tasty cocktails, wine and whisky alongside stylish dishes reinterpreted from Italian food culture.

Like a "plot" in a novel or film, the bar aims to be a space where people with all kinds of stories gather and create new ones. The witty penguin logo, the dim, stylish mood, and the props and T-shirts made Plot's identity feel closer and more personal.

What does Plot's menu look like?

Plot's menu is a hardcover book, like an illustrated book or a storybook. It has high-quality full-page cocktail photos, descriptions of each cocktail, and the alcohol content and price, which I found impressive.

Heads-up: the restroom isn't inside the bar. You have to ask the staff and take the key with you!

They first set out water and wet wipes. Those little rolled-up wipes feel kind of restaurant-like and give a good impression.

What I ordered at Plot, and the prices

• Bold Sicily 30%: ₩22,000
• Balsamic Strawberry (non-alcoholic): ₩20,000
• Olive marinade: ₩5,000

My friend had driven, so they ordered the non-alcoholic Balsamic Strawberry, and I, a fan of strong cocktails, went for the Bold Sicily. Both are red, but the strength and tone are totally different. The pistachios are the complimentary snack, and getting premium nuts like that gives such good vibes.

I'd recommend it as a Hipdang-dong date course, and as a Sindang Station bar with a great mood, the look and quality of each Plot cocktail are good too.

Olive marinade (₩5,000)

Since this was our second round, I ordered Plot's olive marinade as a simple snack, and it was wonderfully soft and nutty, beyond my expectations. It made me think I want to try the other dishes next time! It's properly marinated in olive oil, so it's silky smooth and nutty with a good olive oil flavor :)

Balsamic Strawberry (non-alcoholic, ₩20,000)

Balsamic Strawberry is a sweet, fragrant non-alcoholic cocktail combining balsamic glaze, strawberry and ginger ale. My friend, who might have felt left out for not drinking, finished the whole thing and really enjoyed it :)

The complimentary pistachios were crunchy, nutty and fresh with no off smell, and the olive marinade was so good I wanted to take some home.

What does the Marsala wine cocktail Bold Sicily taste like?

Bold Sicily (30%, ₩22,000) is a strong but subtly sweet cocktail at Plot that uses a Sicilian dessert wine and amaro.

It combines grappa, calvados, Amaro Averna and Marsala wine, giving a heavy, rich, sweet fruity aroma that's really appealing. It's not a cocktail you see everywhere; it felt like Sindang Plot's signature menu item!

It was the strongest cocktail on the menu, and I was curious about the flavor of Marsala wine, so I ordered it. It blended beautifully with the citrus aroma, sweet but with the alcohol coming through, so it was right up my alley. It reminded me of sweet port wine, and apparently Marsala is also a fortified wine, with about 17-20% alcohol.

I could taste nuts, caramel and fruit all layered together, which was charming, and I drank it happily! I heard it stands shoulder to shoulder with Portugal's port wine among fortified wines, so next time I'd like to try it in another style of wine or cocktail :)

Is Plot good for a second round or a date?

Plot is hip without being childish or noisy, and it's great for having a calm cocktail and a conversation, so it was a very satisfying Sindang Station bar for a second round. True to the name Plot, it's a space where you can unfold all kinds of stories in low voices.

With friendly staff and a drink under calm, dim lighting, you get that feeling of tasting the life of a successful grown-up...

The mood, the atmosphere and the cocktails were all perfect, so next time I really want to stay longer with proper dishes and enjoy the vibe. Plot, the Sindang Station bar, is a total recommend :)
