Jung-gu cocktail bar for solo drinks and potato pancakes: Ju Sindang
In short
Ju Sindang is a cocktail bar in Jung-gu, Seoul, serving zodiac-themed cocktails and bar food. I visited alone on a weekday, chatted with the bartender, and loved the Rat cocktail with the honey butter potato pancake. Verdict: a memorable pick for a solo drink or date night.

I visited Ju Sindang alone on a weekday. It was a great bar with tasty snacks and such a nice atmosphere that there was even a wait~

Ju Sindang near Sindang Station: location and hours
The address is 1F, 411 Toegye-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. It is open from 18:00 until 02:00 the next day, and closes regularly every Wednesday.

A dreamy bar with low lighting
The moment I walked in, this dreamy atmosphere unfolded. There was low lighting and professional bartenders. Their mixing skills were great, of course, but the service was so good that I felt truly looked after.

Food and ordering guide
From simple food to new dishes I had never experienced before, it would be great even as your first stop of the night.

There are items not listed on the menu too, so feel free to ask the kind staff.

Scan the QR code and it takes you to Ju Sindang's Instagram, where you can see photos of the menu. Every drink looks quite impressive. People usually order according to their zodiac sign. I'm not a Rat, but I had the Rat cocktail. The alcohol level, acidity, and sweetness are listed. If you're not sure, ask! They explain things in a way that makes it easy to choose based on the kind of alcohol you like.

There was a wide range of traditional Korean liquor too. You can order it by the glass as well.

I heard Yongdo is popular. It shows what combinations go into it.

The complimentary snack comes in a jewelry box with jeonbyeong hangwa, traditional Korean wafer sweets, inside.

If you join the review event, you can receive pollack roe mozzarella balls. Another event gives you one free cocktail on your next visit when you spend over ₩80,000.

The bottle prices here are seriously amazing. If you're coming with several people, just get a bottle instead. They're much cheaper than elsewhere. On the next page, there is also Balvenie whisky, which women tend to love.

Great seating for solo drinks and dates
The bartender made my drink so well. Since I was there alone, they even kept me company. There are cozy tables behind the bar too. Perfect for a date with a lovely atmosphere! Go here when you're in the talking stage. You might get closer.

Brown cheese Rat cocktail
Out came the Rat with brown cheese on top. It was delicious, and it made me curious about the other cocktails too. The foam is wonderfully chewy.

Ju Sindang's signature Twelve Zodiac cocktails cost ₩16,000–₩19,000.

Time flew by.

After visiting, I understood why it is famous. It definitely has its own character, and all the menu items are so intriguing.

The restroom is really beautifully done too, so make sure you check it out. Even the sink is special.

They gave me this as a complimentary service too. Thank you! It was a crispy snack.

The unforgettable honey butter potato pancake
The potato pancake had an unforgettable flavor unlike any I have had anywhere else.

The potato pancake costs ₩18,000 and comes with arugula salad and egg yolk alongside the honey butter potato pancake.

It had a cracker-like feel, with lovely layered textures. The combination of everything served together was art.

The Bloody Mary is a tomato-based cocktail, like a spicy sauce. I had a little taste too.

The Tiger cocktail has such a different mood from the others. The plating was so pretty too—definitely one for winning over women's hearts. “Give me a dried persimmon and I won't eat you~” It draws on a Korean folk tale.

It was a place I would want to recommend if a friend were going on a date near Sindang Station.
