Yeongdeungpo izakaya across from Times Square, post-ride dinner: Nani

Today I decided to go with Hot to a restaurant near Yeongdeungpo Times Square.

Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch is known as a famous date spot near Yeongdeungpo Times Square for its stylish interior and tasty yakitori, so I went to check it out. Originally we planned to watch a movie at Times Square first and then have dinner here, but our cycling ran late in the afternoon, so we saved the movie for next time and just went for dinner.

Where is Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch? Right across from Times Square

Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch has great accessibility, within walking distance of Yeongdeungpo Station, Yeongdeungpo Market Station, and Munnae Station. As you can see on the map, it's right in front of Times Square.

They said you can use the public parking lot within a 4-minute walk of the restaurant. It's an izakaya with room seating too, and group reservations are possible.

Inside Nani Byeolgwan: bar seats to the second-floor rooms

I walked from Yeongdeungpo Market Station. That big building over there is Times Square. And right across from it—

Tada, there's Nani Byeolgwan right in front.

As soon as you walk in there are bar seats like this, and I was seated further inside.

This is the seat Hot and I were shown to—the ceiling is high and the walls are decorated nicely, so it looked really pretty.

There were stairs going up, so I went to check it out—

and there was a spacious area on the second floor too. The interior is really impressive.

This side was the room seating, but all the rooms were fully booked. I couldn't take a photo of the room layout since people were inside. In the middle they had small plates and utensils set out, so it was convenient to grab what you needed.

Back at our seat, there was a basket under the chair for storing bags, which was really convenient.

Hot was still on the way, so I sat and waited for a bit.

There was a really wide variety of snacks and drinks on the menu.

Oh! I can see it, I can see it! I can see everything~

Hot arrived. We looked at the menu together and ordered chicken skewers, pork belly scallion skewers, and spicy seafood yaki udon. I'd seen a lot of reviews about the grilled skewers at Nani Byeolgwan, so I ordered two kinds.

Chicken skewers: thick pieces of meat for 15,000 won

Tada, the chicken skewers came out first. At ₩15,000 I wasn't sure how much we'd get, but wow, the amount of chicken per skewer was thick, so the portion was pretty generous.

Dipping it into the mayo sauce that came with it—munch munch munch... ah, so good. The chicken meat was thick enough to fill your mouth, and the soft, springy texture was really nice.

Hehehe, it tasted even better because Hot fed it to me.

The pickled chili peppers were spicy just right too, adding more to the flavor.

Spicy seafood yaki udon: mild enough for weak spice eaters

Tada, this is the spicy seafood yaki udon. The seafood is seriously... haha, it's an udon loaded generously with delicious seafood.

Hot put some thinly sliced carrot that looked like pepperoni on top and gave me a bite. Oh! I was worried it would be too spicy, but even someone like me who can't handle spice much could eat it—just mildly spicy, thankfully. It's really delicious.

The seafood pieces were big and plentiful, with big shrimp in there too, and the combination of seafood, cabbage, and chewy stir-fried udon noodles was really great. Definitely try the spicy seafood yaki udon.

Finally, the pork belly scallion skewers came out.

We tried dipping the pork belly scallion skewers into the seafood udon sauce, and it was really delicious that way too. Just spicy enough—

We fed each other and had such a fun, delicious time that—

before we knew it, everything was gone. We ordered two kinds of skewers and one udon, but the two of us, hungry from cycling, ate until we were completely full—the portions were that generous.

The clams were plump too, and there were a lot of them in there like that.

Is Nani Byeolgwan a good date izakaya in Yeongdeungpo?

Hehehe, great scenery, Hot was cute... and we ate well and headed home. When you want a nice-atmosphere izakaya for a date at Yeongdeungpo Times Square, or you're craving delicious grilled skewers, Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch is a great place to visit.
