Naeil Didi in Apgujeong: a half day off, two days before the wedding
I got through my wedding yesterday without a hitch, and today I'm resting at home and finally writing up this blog post! Two days before the big day, I took half a day off work and got my wedding nails done. I went to Naeil Didi, a wedding nail specialty salon in Apgujeong.
It's a 10-minute walk from Apgujeong Rodeo Station, on the shopping street right across from Apgujeong Galleria.
Naeil Didi is on the 6th floor of the building.
I rushed over after taking half a day off. You can book through Naver Reservation, but heads up — it's popular and books up fast, so reserve ahead of time. Here's my embarrassing... overgrown bare nails, which I really wanted to trim but held off on. It's probably been three years since I last got my nails done. I think the last time was before a trip to Australia in 2023, so it's been ages.
There was a super cute poodle at the salon, and I thought it might belong to the shop, but they said it was a customer's dog!
Naeil Didi has about 4–5 nail artists, so even during the same time slot they can take quite a few reservations, meaning turnover is pretty fast.
The artist assigned to me was really meticulous, and she also consulted with me and explained the designs in detail.
Choosing the wedding-day design: a peach gradient
As a wedding nail specialty salon, Naeil Didi goes for a look that's glamorous but not overdone — clear and clean — which makes it a great place for brides-to-be. Design and shape choices can be really stressful, but since the staff are so experienced, they gave great recommendations.
I brought 5–6 designs with me and ended up choosing a peach gradient that makes the hands look longer. I considered white, but thought peach or apricot would go well with organza silk too, so I went with a gradient for my wedding nails.
The nail art was done so meticulously that I was really happy with the result. My hands looked even longer, and the parts were placed beautifully. It felt a bit plain otherwise, so I added parts to two fingers per hand.
Cuticle serum and how long the gel lasts
The owner also applied a cuticle serum nutrient she personally sources from Japan. It absorbs really well and is packed with vitamins, so hangnails and the like apparently disappear quickly! I don't like that sticky leftover feeling, and since it absorbed so fast, I really loved it! Naeil Didi uses an in-house base that includes nail nutrients, so it's gentle even on weak nails, and it lasts about a month on average, they said.

How did the recommended square shape turn out?
It was so pretty that I kept looking at my nails on the way home. First of all, the square shape they recommended suited me really well. She recommended the shape by looking at my hands, and sure enough it fit perfectly.
The parts were also attached firmly, so it definitely seemed like they'd last a long time. Getting my nails done again after so long really lifted my mood.
On the wedding day: peach nails with an organza dress
With such pretty nails, I ended up taking a lot more photos showing my hands. They weren't too flashy but had just the right subtlety, which made me love the wedding nails even more. I'd definitely recommend a gradient design for wedding-day nails!
They paired really well with the organza dress, which didn't have big details, and since the color was peach, my fingers looked even longer.
The photo of me holding the bouquet was taken by an iPhone snap photographer, and it came out with such a feminine, clean vibe! Naeil Didi finished everything so meticulously that I think the nails will last a long time too~!
